Summary of the Race to the 2026 Premier Playoffs

After a long season of battling to secure their spot in the standings, the teams who have clinched a spot in the 2026 Premier Playoffs have been finalized as the 2025-26 USPHL regular season has come to an end. 


The finalized standings as of March 2, 2026: 

  1. Fresno Monsters (75 PTS, 37-8-1-0) Clinched Playoff Position and Division

  2. Henderson Force (74 points, 36-8-1-1) Clinched Playoff Position 

  3. Ontario Jr. Reign (72 PTS, 35-9-2-0) Clinched Playoff Position

  4. Ventura Vikings (55 points, 26-17-2-1) Clinched Playoff Position

  5. Long Beach Bombers (35 points, 16-27-3-0)

  6. San Diego Sabers (28 points, 13-31-1-1)

  7. Lake Tahoe Lakers (19 points, 9-36-1-0)

Unfortunately, the Lake Tahoe Lakers, Long Beach Bombers, and San Diego Sabers were unable to secure a spot in the playoffs after their multiple struggles throughout the regular season. These teams were eliminated earlier on as the clinching teams have dominated this past season.  


The Fresno Monsters clinched first place after ending the regular season with a three-game winning streak when they closed out the season with a 3-0 sweep against the San Diego Sabers. Henderson Force fell short of first place and secured their 2nd place spot in the standings after a lengthy back-and-forth battle against the Fresno Monsters. The Ontario Jr. Reign secured third place in the standings after recovering and ending the regular season with a twelve-game winning streak. Although the Ventura Vikings ended their regular season with a one-game losing streak, they were able to secure fourth place in the standings after locking in during games that mattered the most during the regular season. 


Looking ahead, we will see the following matchups: Fresno Monsters vs. Ventura Vikings and Henderson Force vs. Ontario Jr. Reign in the 2026 Premier Playoffs. Below are the next scheduled Premier Playoffs match-ups and where to watch them:

  • The Ontario Jr. Reign will face Henderson Force on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 7:30 PM PST. This game will take place at the America First Center NHL

Friday, March 6, 2026

  • The Ventura Vikings will face the Fresno Monsters on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 6:00 PM PST. This game will take place at the Gateway Ice Center

  • The Ontario Jr. Reign will face Henderson Force on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST. This game will take place at the America First Center NHL

Saturday, March 7, 2026

  • The Ventura Vikings will face the Fresno Monsters on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM PST. This game will take place at the Gateway Ice Center

  • The Ontario Jr. Reign will face Henderson Force on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST. This game will take place at the America First Center NHL (if necessary)

Sunday, March 8, 2026

  • The Ventura Vikings will face the Fresno Monsters on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM PST. This game will take place at the Gateway Ice Center (if necessary)
