Long Beach Bombers
Although the Long Beach Bombers have missed the 2026 USPHL Playoffs, this does not dismiss their performance during the 2025-26 USPHL Regular Season. The team ended the season in fifth place of the USPHL Pacific Division standings with 35 points and a season record of 16-27-3-0. Out of their 16 wins, one of them consisted of a shutout as well as one overtime win secured.. The longest winning-streaks that the Long Beach Bombers maintained were a couple four-game winning streaks throughout the regular season. The first one started on October 31, 2025 against the Lake Tahoe Lakers and ended on November 8, 2025 with a loss to the Ontario Jr. Reign. The second four-game winning streak occurred during their Las Vegas Showcase where they swept their competition 4-0 on December 16-19, 2026.
PP & PK Success Rate and Points Leaders
The Long Beach Bombers ended the regular season with an 18.2% power play success rate and a 76.0% penalty killing success rate. The team’s points and goals leader was #14 Jackson Litzinger who secured 54 points by the end of the regular season which was composed of 30 goals and 24 assists. #11 Marcus Vargas led the Bombers with the most assists recorded this season after he recorded 33 assists.

When looking at the stats, the Long Beach Bombers put up a total of 30 goals, 192 shots on goal, and 55 penalty minutes during the four games that were played during this series. They also ended with a 33.3% power play success rate and a 100% penalty kill success rate. The Long Beach Bombers’ points leader was #12 Jackson Litzinger (7G, 3A) who ended this series with 10 points which included a hat-trick in Game 1 against the Rogue Valley Royals. Another hat-trick that was recorded during this series was by #88 Troy Smith in Game 3 against the Colorado Fighting Elk. After a thrilling four games, the Long Beach Bombers ended this series victoriously, 4-0, through their consistency and determination to maintain their winning streak.

Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. San Diego Sabers (SDS)
LBB won two out of seven games played against SDS during the 2025-26 regular season (2-5) which included a 5-0 shutout loss on November 9, 2025 and an overtime loss on January 10, 2026. During the seven total games that these teams played against one another, SDS outscored (28G, vs 22G), outshot LBB (282 SOG vs. 244 SOG), and found more success with their special teams (25.6 PP% vs. 17.9 PP% and 82.1 PK% vs. 74.4 PK%).
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Henderson Force (HNF)
LBB lost all five games played against LBB during the regular season (0-5). LBB were swept by HNF after they were outscored (32 G vs. 10 G), struggled to maintain puck possession (217 SOG vs 158 SOG), and dominated during special teams remaining (42.1 PP% vs. 23.5 PP% and 76.5 PK% vs. 57.9 PK%).
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Fresno Monsters (FRM)
LBB lost all six games against FRM during the regular 2025-26 season (0-6). FRM maintained consistent puck possession (247 SOG vs. 154 SOG), remarkable goal scoring (45G vs. 7G), and an impressive special teams success rate (22.7 PP% vs. 0 PP% and 100 PK% vs. 77.3 PK%) when they played against LBB during the regular season.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Ventura Vikings (VNV)
LBB won two out of seven games played against VNV during the 2025-26 regular season (2-5). During these seven games, VNV had the advantage over puck possession (230 SOG vs. 209 SOG), overall goals scored (44G vs. 24G), and with their special teams (30.0 PP% vs. 7.14 PP% and 92.6 PK% vs. 76.2 PK%). LBB did end up spending more time in the penalty box compared to VNV (129 PMI vs. 115 PMI).
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Ontario Jr. Reign (OJR)
LBB lost all six games played against OJR during the 2025-26 regular season(0-6). During their previous matchups, OJR consistently outscored (27G vs. 15G) and outshot (273 SOG vs. 194 SOG) LBB. Despite being outscored and outshot, LBB did find more success with their specialty teams as they had a higher success rate on the power play (17.6 PP% vs. 13.8 PP%) and on the penalty kill (86.2 PK% vs. 82.4 PK%) when they played against OJR.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Lake Tahoe Lakers (LTL)
LBB won five out of the six games played against LTL during the 2025-26 regular season (5-1). LBB outscored LTL (35G vs. 18G) despite being outshot (287 SOG vs. 226) by LTL during the six times they played against one another. Both special team success rates were relatively similar to one another with LBB having a slight advantage (35.3 PP% vs. 35.0 PP% and 65.0 PK% vs. 64.7 PK%).
The Long Beach Bombers’ absence during the 2026 Premier Playoffs does not take away from their commendable efforts during the regular season. Despite all of their struggles during the regular season, the team did have a couple memorable moments and accomplishments which they should be proud of. With their upset from the 2025-26 regular season, they will certainly come back next season with vengeance and determination to place higher in the standings and possibly get a chance at the playoffs.
