Week 7 USPHL Pacific Division Recap

The 2025-26 USPHL regular season for the Pacific Division continued to deliver astonishing moments with a shutout, winning/losing streaks being extended and hat-tricks recorded during week 7. Read about the shocking wins and highlights from the games during October 28-November 2, 2025!


Lake Tahoe Lakers vs. Long Beach Bombers Three-Game Series 

The Lake Tahoe Lakers traveled to Lakewood Ice where they faced the Long Beach Bombers for the first time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a three-game series which started on October 31, 2025 and ended after their game on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Read about how the Long Beach Bombers ended their eight-game losing streak after sweeping the Lake Tahoe Lakers, 3-0, in this series. 


The Bombers started Game 1 strong with two unanswered goals scored by #14 Jackson Litzinger which gave them a 2-0 lead going into the second period. This scoring momentum by the Bombers continued into the second period and was opened up with a goal scored by #55 Roman Adomitis (3-0). This goal was then followed by another goal scored by #14 Litzinger who recorded his first hat-trick of the regular season which gave the Bombers a 4-0 lead. The Lakers did answer back with two goals scored by  #24 Lewis Beddow (1PPG, 1G), however, their last push was not enough to hinder the Bombers who won the game, 5-2, with one last goal scored by #55 Adomitis during the third period and the impressive goaltending performance by #1 Logan Gibbs who saved 40 out of 42 shots on goal. This victory for the Long Beach Bombers ended their eight-game losing streak and stopped the Lake Tahoe Lakers from extending their one-game winning streak. 


Game 2 was kicked off with an early goal scored by #42 Daniel Mueller who gave the Bombers 1-0 lead going into the second period of the game. #11 Marcus Vargas became one-goal away from securing his first hat-trick with the Bombers after scoring two unanswered goals during the second period which made it a 3-0 game going into the last period of regulation. The Lakers finally got on the board and momentarily cut their goal deficit down to two-goals after a successful a power play goal was scored by #25 Bryn Studney-Amos, a minute and forty-three second into the third period. This effort by the Lakers was not enough to offset the Bombers who closed out the game with six unanswered goals scored before the end of the game. The six Bombers goals were scored by the following players: #14 Litzinger (1G), #9 Charlie Cheetham (2G), #11 Vargas (1G), #66 Isaiah Massie (1G), and  #21 Daniel Fridyand (1G). The impressive goaltending performance by #98 Alexis Dunmont, who saved 44 out of 45 shots on goal, and #11 Vargas first hat-trick of the regular season greatly benefited in the Bombers’ 9-1 win against the Lakers in Game 2 of this series. This Long Beach Bombers victory extended their streak to a two-game winning streak and extended the Lake Tahoe Lakers’ streak to a two-game losing streak. 


The first period of Game 3 ended with a scoreless standstill after an intense goaltending battle between Lakers’ #41 Ryder Selbee and Bombers’ #72 Ethan Fitzgerald. It wasn’t until the Bombers lit up the second period with three goals scored by #61 Steven Anderson (1G), #14 Litzinger (1G), and  #42 Mueller (1G) which gave them a three-goal lead. The Lakers answered back with a goal scored by #39 Jamie Natali late in the second period and made it a two-goal game going into the last period of regulation (3-1). The momentum from the Lakers carried into the third period as #23 Oliver Parkkonen scored a goal two minutes and forty-one seconds into the period which made it a one-goal game (3-2). Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Bombers were able to muster two goals scored by  #17 Jeremy Loosmore (1G) and  #61 Anderson (1G) during the final five minutes of regulation. In the end, #72 Fitzgerald secured the Bombers’ 5-2 win after saving 42 out of 44 shots on goal while Lakers’ goaltender, #41 Selbee, saved 36 out of 41 shots. After an eventful three-game series the Long Beach Bombers enter week 8 with a three-game winning streak while the Lake Tahoe Lakers enter with a three-game losing streak. 


Henderson Force vs. Iron County Yeti Three-Game Series 

Henderson Force traveled to KJ’s Ice Barn where they faced the Iron County Yeti for the first time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a three-game series which started on October 31, 2025 and ended after their game on November 2, 2025. The Yeti opened up Game 1 with an electrifying goal on home ice which was scored by #13 Brennan Pierce, four minutes into the first period (1-0). It quickly became a 3-1 game in favor of the Force when three unanswered goals were scored by #88 Ryan Pavlinsky (1G), #26 Reese Hicks (1G), and #17 Aleksander Leonelli (1G). The Force continued to maintain control of the game and made it a 5-1 game with two goals scored by #22 Asher Tayor (1G) and #75 Nicholas Correnti (1G). The Yeti's goal deficit was cut back down to three goals when #2 Keanu McClanahan answered back and made it a 5-2 game. The Force regained their four-goal lead and made it a 6-2 game going into the last period of regulation with a successful power play goal that was scored by #26 Hicks. After a series of great scoring chances by both teams, #24 Nikodem Wroblewski closed out the game for the Force, 7-2, with a goal scored during the third period. In regards to goaltending, #35 Ralfs Kalnins secured the Force’s win after he saved 23 out of 25 shots on goal while Yeti’s #73 Spencer Harris saved 61 out of 54 shots on goal. Henderson Force found themselves with an opportunity to start a winning streak when they ended their three-game losing streak with this big Game 1 win against the Iron County Yeti. 


The Force continued their momentum into Game 2 with two unanswered goals scored in the first period by #88 Pavlinsky (1G) and #7 Landen Hindman (1G) which gave them a 2-0 lead going into the second period. The game remained at a 2-0 standstill after an intense goaltending battle between Yeti’s #35 Franciszek Zrebiec and Force’s #35 Kalnins, who fought hard to keep the second period scoreless. In the end, the Force shutout the Yeti, 6-0, with four unanswered goals that were scored by #10 Christopher Bruder (1G), #26 Hicks (1G), #75 Correnti (1G), and #24 Wroblewsk (1G) during the third period. In regards to goaltending, #35 Ralfs Kalnins recorded his third shutout win of regular season after saving all 35 goals that he faced by the end of this game while Yeti’s #35 Zrebiec saved 49 out of 55 shots on goal. With an astonishing 6-0 shutout win, Henderson Force continued onto a two-game winning streak after they extended the Iron County Yeti’s losing streak by two games.


The momentum from the Force carried on into the first period of Game 3 which ended, 7-0, with goals scored by the following players: #26 Hicks (2G),  #24 Wroblewski (1G), #55 Loui Lundahl (1G), #3 Karl Lindberg (1G), #27 David Baxter Jr (1G), and #9 Ryan Williams (1G). This goal scoring streak also continued into the second period with three goals scored by #10 Bruder (1G), #26 Hicks (1G), and #27 Baxter Jr (1G) which gave the Force a ten-goal lead until Yeti’s #17 Marek Trefil successfully scored a power play goal during the final minute of the period (10-1). This Yeti goal did not stop the Force from closing out the period with a goal scored by #88 Pavlinsky, which made it an 11-1 game going into the last period of regulation. #11 Frank Barncord closed out the game, 12-1, with one final Force goal scored during the third period. This 12-1 victory for the  Force would not have been possible without the impressive goaltending performance by #1 Christian Hubert, who saved 12 out of 13 shots on goal, as well as #26 Hicks’ first hat-trick of the 2025-26 regular season. After sweeping the Iron County Yeti, Henderson Force are now on a three-game winning streak while the Iron County Yeti are on a three-game losing streak. 


San Diego Sabers Four-Game Series 

The San Diego Sabers kicked off their four-game series at Ontario Ice Center where they faced the Ontario Jr. Reign in Game 1 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. They then traveled to Iceoplex Simi Valley on Friday, October 31, 2025 for Game 2 against the Ventura Vikings before traveling back to Ontario Center Ice Arena to face the Ontario Jr. Reign again. The San Diego Sabers closed out the series on home ice on Sunday, November 2, 2025 against the Ventura Vikings. The first period of Game 1 in this series ended with a scoreless standstill after an intense goaltending battle between Sabers’ #52 Jovin Manhas and Jr. Reign’s #29 Nicholas Perry. This standstill was broken during the second period with three unanswered Jr. Reign goals which were scored by #14 Jared Padilla (1G), #53 Jake Hudec (1G), and #22 Samuel Delaquis (1G). The Jr. Reign continued to dominate the rest of the game and extended their lead by two-goals which were scored by #14 Padilla (1G) and #25 Jackson Tremblay (1PPG). This triumphant 5-0 shutout secured by the Jr. Reign would not have been possible without the outstanding goaltending performance #29 Perry who secured his first shutout of the regular season after saving all 34 shots on goals. After a huge win, the Ontario Jr. Reign are now on a seven-game winning streak after extending the San Diego Sabers’ losing streak to eleven games. 


The Vikings kicked off Game 2 of this series with an early goal scored by #13 Victor Langemar Persson which was quickly answered back by Sabers’ #2 James Schneider (1-1). Although the Sabers made a great effort to gain the lead, they ended up falling short as the Vikings answered back with three goals scored by #10 Nicholas Mardani (1PPG), #14 Dominick Ybarra (1PPG), and #19 Lino Viau (1G) which gave them a three-goal lead (4-1). The score remained at a 4-1 standstill after a scoreless second period despite both teams having great chances to shake up the scoreboard. The standstill was broken during the last minute of the game when Vikings’ #6 Ethan Yang scored a power play goal with fifty-five seconds remaining in the third period (5-1). With time winding down, Sabers’ #2 Schneider and #24 Sammy Albano were able to make it a two-goal game in the final seconds of the period (5-3). The Ventura Vikings found themselves with a three-game winning streak after beating the San Diego Sabers, 5-3, in Game 3 of this series while the Sabers continued to struggle on their twelve-game losing streak. 


The Jr. Reign continued to maintain control over the Sabers as #17 Evan Tsadilas opened up the first period and #11 Mason Welsh closed out the period with a power play goal (2-0). The Sabers and Jr. Reign answered back to one another throughout the second period, however, the Jr. Reign remained on top with a two-goal lead going into the last period of regulation (4-2). The two Sabers goals scored during the second period where by #23 Payton Hauge (1G) and #2 Schneider (1G) while the two Jr. Reign goals were scored by #48 Marc Belanger (1PPG), and #53 Hudec (1G). In the end, the Jr. Reign took Game 3 of this series, 5-2, when #25 Tremblay sealed the deal and scored the final goal of the game with three minutes left in regulation. #33 Domenik Mclnenly was in net for the Jr. Reign and saved 7 out of 9 shots on goal that he faced by the end of this game. After a commendable push, the San Diego Sabers unfortunately entered Game 4 of their series with a thirteen-game losing streak while the Ontario Jr. Reign continued onto an eight-game winning streak after this Game 3 victory. 


Although the Vikings struck first with an early power play goal scored by #53 Joe Lawrence (1-0), the Sabers answered back with vengeance and put three goals on the board. These three goals were scored by #2 Schneider (1G), #3 Dylan Skene (1G), and #27 Matthew Matsuda (1G) which gave the Sabers a 3-1 lead going into the second period. Vikings’ #16 Griffin Gagnon momentarily made it a one-goal game when he scored during the latter half of the second period until Sabers’ #23 Hauge regained the team’s two-goal lead going into the last period of regulation (5-2). Despite having a strong start with another goal scored by #53 Lawrence, the Vikings struggled to answer back when the Sabers put up four back-to-back goals scored by: #24 Albano (1G), #27 Matsuda (1G), #94 Sam Bailey (1G), and #23 Hauge during the first half of the period. The Vikings regrouped during the latter half of the period and made a huge comeback with four goals scored by: #53 Lawrence (1G, 1PPG) and #53 Calvin Ruggiero (1G, 1PPG). Unfortunately for the Vikings, this last push was not enough to overtake the Sabers who won the game with a final score of 8-7. After a long four-game series, the San Diego Sabers have finally broken their thirteen-game losing streak and ended the Ventura Vikings’ three-game winning streak with a Game 4 victory. 


Overall, Week 7 of the 2025-26 USPHL Pacific Division was full of jaw-dropping performances and astonishing wins. Some memorable moments from this past week included a Henderson Force and Ontario Jr. Reign shutout, the San Diego Sabers ending their thirteen-game losing streak, and multiple hat-tricks being recorded. There were 4 hat-tricks recorded during week 7 of the regular season which were secured by Henderson Force’s #26 Reese Hicks, Ventura Vikings’ #53 Joe Lawrence, and Long Beach Bombers’ #14 Jackson Litzinger and #11 Marcus Vargas.  Looking ahead, we have a few three-game series and intense rematches scheduled in week 8 of the regular season.
