The 2025-26 USPHL regular season for the Pacific Division continued to deliver another set of high-scoring games and jaw-dropping wins. Read about the exciting wins and fun highlights from the games during November 21-23, 2025!
San Diego Sabers vs. Ontario Jr. Reign One-Game Series
The San Diego Sabers traveled to the Ontario Center Ice Arena and faced the Ontario Jr. Reign on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Read about how the Ontario Jr. Reign maintained their dominant performance against the San Diego Sabers during their sixth matchup against one another during this 2025-26 regular season.
The Sabers started this game strong with a 2-0 lead as #44 Kai Shepherd (1G) opened the game and #23 Payton Hauge (1G) closed out the first period. Down by two-goals, Jr. Reign’s #22 Samuel Delaquis answered back with a power play goal scored during the second period which made it a one-goal game going into the last period of regulation (2-1). The Jr. Reign’s momentum continued into the third period as they tied the game, 2-2, with a power play goal scored by #17 Evan Tsadilas and later gained their first lead of the game with a goal scored by #12 Alec Boucher (3-2). Although the Sabers were able to tie the game, 3-3, with a power play goal scored by #23 Hauge, their last push was not enough to overtake the Jr. Reign who ended the game with a 4-3 victory after #97 Brennan Monroe closed out the game with the last goal scored during this matchup. In regards to goaltending, Jr. Reign’s #29 Nicholas Perry secured the team’s win after saving 27 out of 30 shots on goal while Sabers’ #71 Stephan Vedernikov saved 44 out of 48 shots on goal by the end of this game. After an intense matchup, the Ontario Jr. Reign are now on a four-game winning streak after extending the San Diego Sabers’ streak to a two-game losing streak.
Fresno Monsters vs. Ventura Vikings Three-Game Series
The Fresno Monsters traveled to Icepolex Simi Valley where they faced the Ventura Vikings for the first time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a three-game series which started on Friday, November 21, 2025 and ended after their game on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Although the Monsters found themselves with a one-goal lead after #20 Vertti Sakko scored the opening goal of this game, the Vikings quickly found themselves with a 2-1 lead going into the second period with goals scored by #9 Cosimo Repaci (1G) and #10 Nicholas Mardani (1G). #16 Griffin Gagnon extended the Vikings’ lead, 3-1, when he scored twenty-seven seconds into the second period. This Vikings’ lead would soon be negated as the Monsters regrouped and put up three unanswered goals scored by #13 Jonathan Andersen (1G), #71 Nils Tunbratt (1G), and #37 Connor Perdue (1G) which gave them a one-goal lead going into the last period of regulation (4-3). Despite having a series of great scoring chances, the Vikings ultimately struggled to cut their goal deficit as the Monsters ended the game, 6-3, with two goals scored by #21 Brian Erte (1G) and #13 Andersen (1G) during the latter half of the third period. In regards to goaltending, Monsters’ #6 Lodyn Rueckel secured the team’s win after saving 29 out of 32 shots on goal while Vikings’ #28 Alexander Wendt saved 47 out of 53 shots on goal by the end of this game. After a great battle in Game 1, the Fresno Monsters found themselves with a two-game winning streak after ending the Ventura Vikings’ four-game winning streak.
The Monsters' momentum carried into Game 2 with a dominant performance during the first period which ended, 4-0, with goals scored by #9 Sebastian Vesterlund (2G), #15 Adrian Gomez (1G), and #21 Erte (1G). Although the Vikings were able to end their goal scoring drought with a goal scored by #14 Dominick Ybarra (4-1), the Monsters were able to extend their lead with two power play goals scored by #9 Sebastian Vesterlund and #13 Andersen. These two goals scored by the Monsters during the second period made it a 6-1 game going into the last period of regulation. Despite putting up a good fight with two additional Vikings goals scored by #16 Gagnon (1G) and #51 Joe Lawrence (1G), the Vikings’ ultimately fell short as the Monsters took the game, 9-3, when they answered back with three goals scored by #37 Perdue (1G), #21 Erte (1G), and #15 Gomez (1G). The impressive goaltending efforts by #31 Noah Hammarstrom, who saved 29 out of 32 shots on goal, and #9 Sebastian Vesterlund's first hat-trick of the regular season greatly benefited the Monsters in this victory. After another impressive performance, the Fresno Monsters found themselves with a three-game winning streak while the Ventura Vikings continued onto a two-game losing streak.
Picking up where they left off, the Monsters dominated the first period of Game 3 with a three-goal lead going into the second period after #71 Tunbratt (1PPG) successfully scored a power play goal and #5 Keegan Iwahashi (2G) opened and closed out the period (3-0). The Vikings got on the board with a power play goal scored by #9 Repaci, who answered back after Monsters’ #13 Andersen scored the second period opening goal (4-1). Unfortunately for the Vikings, their goal deficit reverted back to a four-goals when #55 Josef Nystrom closed out the second period with a goal scored with nine seconds remaining in the period (5-1). Although the Vikings were able to score one last goal during the latter half of the third period, this last push was not enough to hinder the Monsters’ momentum as they put up three goals and secured their 8-2 win. The three Monsters goals which contributed to the team’s 8-2 win were scored by #21 Erte (1G), #20 Sakko (1G), and #13 Andersen (1G). In regards to goaltending, #30 Niksa Slade was in net for the Monsters and helped secure the team’s win after he saved 18 out of 20 shots on goal. After an impressive sweep, the Fresno Monsters are now on a four-game winning streak while the Ventura Vikings are on a three-game losing streak.
Iron County Yeti vs. Lake Tahoe Lakers Two-Game Series
The Iron County Yeti traveled to South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena where they will face the Lake Tahoe Lakers for the first time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a two-game series which started on Sunday, November 23, 2025 and ended after their game on Monday, November 24, 2025. The Yeti had a strong start to this series as #7 William Hagenmarck (1G) scored the opening goal and #17 Marek Trefil (1PPG, 1G) extended the team’s lead, 3-0, during the beginning half of the first period. The Lakers’ got onto the board and cut their goal deficit when #14 Leo Matthew Duggan IV scored a power play goal during the final five minutes of the period (3-1). As time was winding down, the Yeti answered back with a power play goal scored by #11 Szymon Klucznik with thirty-one seconds remaining in the first period (4-1). The Lakers regrouped after a slow start and ended the second period, 5-4, with four goals scored by #14 Duggan IV (1G), #18 Kade Packer (2G) and #25 Bryn Studney-Amos (1G). Neither team went down without a fight during the third period as Yeti’s #22 Matej Zeman (1G) and #20 Karsten Powsey (1G) regained the team’s lead (6-5). Lakers’ #14 Duggan IVquickly answered back and scored the game-tying goal which also secured his first hat-trick of the regular season (6-6). Despite making a great effort to regain the lead, the Lakers fell short as the Yeti broke the tied standstill with two goals scored by #7 Hagenmarck (1G) and #11 Klucznik (1G) during the final five minutes of the period (8-6). After an intense goaltending battle, #74 Spencer Harris secured the Yeti’s 8-6 win after he saved 49 out of 55 shots on goal while Lakers’ #37 Brooks Smyrski saved 31 out of 39 shots on goal. The Iron County Yeti found themselves with a five-game winning streak after extending the Lakers’ streak to a ten-game losing streak in Game 1 of this series.
With another strong start, the Yeti found themselves with a 2-1 lead going into the second period with two goals scored by #2 Keanu Mcclanahan (1G) and #17 Trefil (1G) as well as a Lakers goal scored by Lakers’ #24 Lewis Beddow (1G). Although Lakers’ #24 Beddow tied the game after he opened the second period (2-2), Yeti’s #89 Porter Santano answered back less than a minute after the opening goal was scored which momentarily made it a one-goal game in the Yeti’s favor (3-2). This Yeti goal did not hinder the Lakers as they regained and extended their lead with two goals scored by #36 Ugnius Simbelis (1G) and #27 Kasper Parkkonen (1PPG) which made it a 4-3 game going into the last period of regulation. Both teams put up another point as Lakers’ #27 Parkkonen (1G) and Yeti’s #22 Zeman (1PPG) both scored a goal during the third period, however, the Yeti’s last push was not enough to offset the Lakers’ 5-4 victory. In regards to goaltending, Lakers’ #31 Liam Freel won this goaltending battle after he saved 34 out of 38 shots on goal while #35 Franciszek Zrebiec saved 41 out of 46 shots on goal. After an intense battle in Game 2 of this series, the Lake Tahoe Lakers have ended their ten-game losing streak after breaking the Iron County Yeti’s five-game winning streak.
Overall, Week 10 of the 2025-26 USPHL Pacific Division was full of jaw-dropping outcomes and high-scoring wins. Some memorable moments from this past week included multiple winning/losing streaks being extended and a couple hat-tricks being recorded. There were 2 hat-tricks recorded during week 10 of the regular season which were secured by Fresno Monsters’ #9 Sebastian Vesterlund and Lake Tahoe Lakers #14 Leo Matthew Duggan IV. Looking ahead, we have a two-game and three-game series scheduled in week 11 of the regular season.
