Oct. 31- Nov. 3, 2024 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with multiple two-game and three-game series.


Ventura Vikings vs. Long Beach Bombers (Two-Game Series)

Nov. 1-2, 2024 

The Long Beach Bombers swept the Ventura Vikings in their two-game series this past weekend. Game 1, which took place at Iceoplex Simi Valley, resulted in a triumphant 7-4 win for the Long Beach Bombers and Christopher Porciuncula recording his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. The teams then traveled to Lakewood Ice for Game 2 of the two-game series which resulted in a 7-6 overtime win for the Long Beach Bombers. Long Beach Bombers’ Magnus Lowham recorded his 3rd hat-trick and Christopher Porciuncula recorded his 2nd hat-trick of the regular season after Game 2 of this series. The Long Beach Bombers are now on a two-game winning streak.

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Long Beach Bombers (7-4) at Iceoplex Simi Valley. 

  • GOALTENDING: Ludovic Dagenais was able to secure the win for the Long Beach Bombers after saving 29 out of 33 shots on goal. Brasco Cirillo was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 19 out of 26 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula scored the game winning goal and the penalty shot insurance goal during the first 5 minutes of the third period. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. 

Game 2 | Saturday, November 2, 2024 | Long Beach Bombers 7, Ventura Vikings 6

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an overtime win for the Long Beach Bombers (7-6) at Lakewood Ice. 

  • GOALTENDING: Ludovic Dagenais was able to secure the win for the Long Beach Bombers after saving 35 out of 41 shots on goal. Joshua Arsenault was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 52 out of 59 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula scored the game winning goal with 1 second left in overtime. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Long Beach Bombers’ Magnus Lowham recorded his 3rd hat-trick and Christopher Porciuncula recorded his 2nd hat-trick of the regular season.  


Henderson Force vs. Iron County Yeti (Two-Game Series)

Nov. 1-2, 2024

Henderson Force completely dominated Iron County Yeti in their two-game series this past weekend. Game 1 resulted in an 11-1 triumphant regulation win for Henderson Force at America First Center Rink 1. Henderson Force continued their momentum into Game 2 of the series which ended in their favor as they won with an 11-3 victory. Henderson Force’s Reese Hicks recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. After Henderson Force swept Iron County Yeti, they are now on a two-game winning streak.

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for Henderson Force (11-1) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Nicholas Perry was able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 23 out of 24 shots on goal. Mason Bouchard was in net for Iron County Yeti and saved a total of39 out of 50 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Kaden Mulcahy scored the game winning goal and Noah Morency scored the insurance goal. 

Game 2 | Saturday, November 2, 2024 | Henderson Force 11, Iron County Yeti 3

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an impressive regulation victory for Henderson Force (11-1) at America First Center Rink 1.  

  • GOALTENDING: Jacob Kaput was able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 17 out of 20 shots on goal. Nicholas Ruiz was in net for the Iron County Yeti and saved a total of 48 out of 59 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Reese Hicks scored the power play game winning goal as well as the power play insurance goal during the first period. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Henderson Force’s Reese Hicks recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.


Lake Tahoe Lakers vs. Bakersfield Roughnecks (Three-Game Series)

Nov. 1-2, 2024

Lake Tahoe Lakers take the three-game series against the Bakersfield Roughnecks after winning Game 1 and Game 3 of the series. Lake Tahoe Lakers’ won Game 1 of the three-game series with a 7-5 overtime victory despite Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Arsiyan Van de Brande first hat-trick of the regular season heavily contributing to the team’s 5 overall goals. After an unfortunate Game 1 loss, the Bakersfield Roughnecks came back with vengeance and won Game 2 with a 4-2 final score. After splitting the series, the Bakersfield Roughnecks fell short in Game 3 of the series which ended with a 7-5 win in Lake Tahoe Lakers’ favor.

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an overtime victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (7-5) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. 

  • GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 33 out of 38 shots on goal. Stanislav Teplitskyi was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 46 out of 50 shots on goal before Jakob Barcelona took over late in the third period. Jakob Barcelona saved a total of 12 out of 15 shots on goal during the third period and first half of overtime. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Carver Alford scored the power play game winning goal and Scott McNulty scored the insurance goal during overtime. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Arsiyan Van de Brande recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. 

Game 2 | Saturday, November 2, 2024 | Bakersfield Roughnecks 4, Lake Tahoe Lakers 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation/overtime victory for the Bakersfield Roughnecks (4-2) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. 

  • GOALTENDING: Jakob Barcelona was able to secure the win for the Bakersfield Roughnecks after saving 37 out of 39 shots on goal. Perry Jacobs was in net for the Lake Tahoe Lakers and saved a total of 44 out of 48 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Tyler Gyori scored the game winning goal and Derrick Henson scored the insurance goal. 

Game 3 | Sunday, November 3, 2024 | Lake Tahoe Lakers 7, Bakersfield Roughnecks 5

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (7-5) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. 

  • GOALTENDING: Liam Freel was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 28 out of 33 shots on goal. Stanislav Teplitskyi was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 40 out of 47 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty scored the game winning goal and Patrick Lindbohm scored the empty net insurance goal before the end of the third period. 


Fresno Monsters vs. Ontario Jr. Reign (Three-Game Series)

Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2024

The Fresno Monsters swept Ontario Jr. Reign on home ice this past weekend in their three-game series against each other. Game 1 ended with a 7-5 regulation win for the Fresno Monsters and they continued their momentum into Game 2 which resulted in a 5-4 regulation win for the team. The Fresno Monsters closed out the three-game series with an 8-3 regulation victory and Filipp Papshev recording his 1st hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. After a successful weekend, the Fresno Monsters are on a six game winning streak. 

Game 1 | Thursday, October 31, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 7, Ontario Jr. Reign 5

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (7-5) at Gateway Ice Center. 

  • GOALTENDING: Markus Wasastjerna was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 26 out of 31 shots on goal. Domenik McInenly was in net for the Ontario Jr. Reign and saved a total of 39 out of 44 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen scored the short handed game winning goal and Simon Eriksson scored the empty net insurance goal in the third period. 

Game 2 | Friday, November 1, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 5, Ontario Jr. Reign 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (5-2) at Gateway Ice Center. 

  • GOALTENDING: Peter Burke was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 28 out of 30 shots on goal. Nikolas Charles was in net for the Ontario Jr. Reign and saved a total of 19 out of 21 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson scored the game winning goal and Nils Tunbratt scored the insurance goal. 

Game 3 | Saturday, November 2, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 8, Ontario Jr. Reign 3

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (5-2) at Gateway Ice Center. 

  • GOALTENDING: Markus Wasastjerna was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 21 out of 24 shots on goal. Nikolas Charles was in net for the Ontario Jr. Reign and saved a total of 20 out of 25 shots on goal before Ethan Sellwood took over midway through the second period and throughout the rest of the game. Ethan Sellwood saved a total of 14 out of 17 shots on goal.   

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson scored the game winning goal and Nils Tunbratt scored the insurance goal. 

  • Hat-tricks: Fresno Monsters’ Filipp Papshev recorded his 1st hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. 


Overall, Week 8 of the 2024-2025 regular season of the USPHL Pacific Division was full of triumphant wins; multiple hat-tricks and impressive winning streaks. Some memorable moments from this week included: a Lake Tahoe Lakers’ overtime win; Henderson Force’s back-to-back double digit wins; and the Fresno Monsters’ extending their winning streak (six game winning streak). There were 4 hat-tricks recorded this past weekend which included: Fresno Monsters’ Filipp Papshev (1 HT); Henderson Force’s Reese Hicks (1 HT); Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Arsiyan Van de Brande (1 HT); and Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula (2 HT) and Magnus Lowham (3 HT). Looking into this weekend, we have a lot of exciting matchups ahead of us.
