Oct. 22-27, 2024 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with multiple two-game and three-game series for multiple teams.
Ontario Jr. Reign’s Two-Game Series
Oct. 22-26, 2024
The Ontario Jr. Reign dominated their two-game series on home ice at Ontario Ice Arena against the Lake Tahoe Lakers and Henderson Force. Game 1 of the series ended with a 3-1 win for the Ontario Jr. Reign against the Lake Tahoe Lakers. Henderson Force then traveled to Ontario Ice Arena for Game 2 of the series which went in favor of Ontario Jr. Reign as they won with a final score of 5-1. These two wins continue the Ontario Jr. Reign’s winning streak (three-game winning streak).

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Ontario Jr. Reign (3-1) at Ontario Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Domenik McInenly was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 40 out of 41 shots on goal. Perry Jacobs was in net for the Lake Tahoe Lakers and saved a total of 35 out of 38 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Gavin Evans scored the game winning goal and Christopher Lai scored the insurance goal late in the third period.
Game 2 | Saturday, October 26, 2024 | Ontario Jr. Reign 5, Henderson Force 1
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for Ontario Jr. Reign (5-1) at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Nikolas Charles was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 22 out of 23 shots on goal. Nicholas Perry was in net for Henderson Force and saved a total of 39 out of 44 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Kayden Buffalo scored the game winning goal and Jack Forrester scored the insurance goal.
Lake Tahoe Lakers' Two-Game Series
Oct. 23-25, 2024
The Lake Tahoe Lakers traveled to Carlsbad Icetown and dominated the San Diego Sabers with a Game 1 victory (6-2). After their Game 1 win, the team traveled to Lakewood Ice for Game 2 against the Long Beach Bombers. Game 2 resulted in a Lake Tahoe Lakers’ 3-1 win which extended the team’s winning streak to a two-game winning streak.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (6-2) at Carlsbad Icetown.
GOALTENDING: Timon Franzen was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 26 out of 28 shots on goal. Viktor Pasztor was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 44 out of 50 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Jose-Jasmir Guseff scored the game winning goal late in the first period and Tyler Gudjonson scored the insurance goal 1 minute and 14 seconds into the second period.
Game 2 | Friday, October 25, 2024 | Lake Tahoe Lakers 3, Long Beach Bombers 1
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (3-1) at Lakewood Ice.
GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Tyler Gudjonson scored the game winning goal and Brian Erte scored the insurance goal.
Henderson Force’s Two-Game Series
Oct. 25-26, 2024
Henderson Force Traveled to KJ’s Ice Barn where they faced Iron County Yeti for Game 1 of their two-game series. Game 1 resulted in a triumphant 10-3 win for Henderson Force and a hat-trick recorded by Force’s Noah Morency. The team then traveled to Ontario Center Ice Arena which went in Ontario Jr. Reign’s favor with a final score of 5-1.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for Henderson Force (10-3) at KJ's Ice Barn.
GOALTENDING: Jacob Kaput was able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 31 out of 34 shots on goal. Nate Nakka was in net for the Iron County Yeti and saved a total of 15 out of 20 shots on goal before Nicholas Ruiz took over early in the third period. Nicholas Ruiz saved 18 out of 23 shots on goal that he faced.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Logan Smolinski scored the game winning goal and Reese Hicks scored the insurance goal in the second period.
HAT-TRICKS: Henderson Force’s Noah Morency recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring three goals during the third period.

San Diego Sabers’ Three-Game Series
Oct. 23-26, 2024
The San Diego Sabers’ three-game winning streak ended after a 6-2 loss against the Lake Tahoe Lakers in Game 1 of their three-game series. This setback fueled their hunger to win Game 2 against the Ventura Vikings which ended with a triumphant 7-1 win for the San Diego Sabers. The San Diego Sabers continued their momentum into Game 3 of the series against the Long Beach Bombers. Game 3 resulted in a 5-1 win for the San Diego Sabers which extended their winning streak to a two-game winning streak.

Joshua Arsenault was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 24 out of 30 shots on goal before Brasco Cirillo took over in the third period and saved 5 out of 6 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Knut Hornkvist scored the game winning goal and Aidan Cosgrove scored the insurance goal.

GOALTENDING: Mikhail Saratovtsev was able to secure the win for the San Diego Sabers after saving 34 out of 35 shots on goal. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 35 out of 40 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Briar Dickson scored the game winning goal and Aidan Cosgrove scored the power play insurance goal in the third period of the game.
Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Three-Game Series
Oct. 25-27, 2024
The Fresno Monsters traveled to Valley Childrens Ice Center for a three-game series against the Bakersfield Roughnecks. Game 1 resulted in a 5-2 win for the Fresno Monsters and Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen recording his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. The Fresno Monsters’ momentum was carried into Game 2 which ended with a triumphant 11-2 victory for the Monsters and Mikael Jarvinen recording his first hat-trick of the regular season. The Fresno Monsters closed out the three-game series with a 2-1 win.

GOALTENDING: Peter Burke was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 17 out of 19 shots on goal. Jakob Barcelona was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 24 out of 29 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Hugo Luomaranta scored the game winning goal 2 minutes and 22 seconds into the second period and Sebastian Westerlund scored the power play insurance goal.
HAT-TRICKS: Fresno Monsters’ Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for the Fresno Monsters (11-2) at Valley Childrens Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Markus Wasastjerna was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 29 out of 31 shots on goal. Stanislav Teplitskyi started in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved 2 out of 5 shots on goal before Max Sutton took over for the remainder of the game after the first period. Max Sutton saved a total of 47 out 55 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Mikael Jarvinen scored the game winning goal and Filipp Papshev scored the insurance goal in the first period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Fresno Monsters’ Mikael Jarvinen recorded his first hat-trick of the regular season.
Game 3 | Sunday, October 27, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 2, Bakersfield Roughnecks 1
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (2-1) at Valley Childrens Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Peter Burke was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 45 out of 46 shots on goal. Jakob Barcelona was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 41 out of 43 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen scored the game winning goal in the first half of the second period.
Overall, Week 7 of the 2024-2025 regular season of the USPHL Pacific Division was full of high-scoring wins, new winning streaks, and multiple hat-tricks. There were 3 hat-tricks recorded this past weekend which included: Henderson Force’s Noah Morency (1st HT) and Fresno Monsters’ Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen (2nd HT) and Mikael Jarvinen (1st HT).
