Nov. 8-10, 2024 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with a two-game series for the Long Beach Bombers and multiple three-game series.
Long Beach Bombers Two-Game Series
Nov. 8-9, 2024
The Long Beach Bombers faced the San Diego Sabers at Lakewood Ice on Friday, November 8, 2024 which resulted in a 3-2 loss and the Sabers’ extending their winning streak to three-games. After an unfortunate loss, the Long Beach Bombers faced the Ontario Jr. Reign for Game 2 of their two-game series. Game 2 resulted in a 4-2 loss for the Long Beach Bombers against the Ontario Jr. Reign.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the San Diego Sabers (3-2) at Lakewood Ice.
GOALTENDING: Mikhail Saratovtsev was able to secure the win for the San Diego Sabers after saving 28 out of 30 shots on goal. Ethan Fitzgerald was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 45 out of 48 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Sam Bailey scored the game winning goal late in the second period.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Ontario Jr. Reign (4-2) at Lakewood Ice.
GOALTENDING: Ethan Sellwood was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 30 out of 32 shots on goal. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 46 out of 50 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Eddie Cochrane scored the game winning goal and Luke Cannon scored the insurance goal during the third period of the game.
Fresno Monsters vs. Vernal Oilers (Three-Game Series)
Nov. 8-10, 2024
The Fresno Monsters traveled to Western Park Arena for a three-game series against the Vernal Oilers this past weekend. Game 1 resulted in a 6-2 regulation win for the Vernal Oilers. Game 2 resulted in a 4-3 win for the Vernal Oilers. The Vernal Oilers wrapped up the three-game series with a 4-1 win.

GOALTENDING: Levente Hegedus was able to secure the win for the Vernal Oilers after saving 26 out of 28 shots on goal. Peter Burke was in net for the Fresno Monsters and saved a total of 33 out of 39 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Vernal Oilers’ Rodion Gornostaev scored the power play game winning goal and Dominik Griessmer scored the insurance goal.

GOALTENDING: Levente Hegedus was able to secure the win for the Vernal Oilers after saving 28 out of 29 shots on goal. Peter Burke was in net for the Fresno Monsters and saved a total of 34 out of 38 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Vernal Oilers’ Sami Kallionkieli scored the game winning goal and Nick Moore scored the insurance goal which were also both power play goals during the third period.
Bakersfield Roughnecks vs. Henderson Force (Three-Game Series)
Nov. 8-10, 2024
The Bakersfield Roughnecks traveled to America First Center Rink 1 for their three-game series against Henderson Force. Game 1 of the three-game series went in Henderson Force’s favor as they won with a final score of 8-2 and had two members record a hat-trick by the end of the game. Game 2 resulted in a 3-1 win for Henderson Force. Henderson Force finished off the three-game series against the Bakersfield Roughnecks with a 9-4 win in Game 3 which also resulted in Henderson Force’s Anthony Chateauvert recording his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.

GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Ryan Pavlinsky scored the game winning goal and Shane Dean scored the power play insurance goal in the second period.
HAT-TRICKS: Henderson Force’s Shane Dean recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring 4 goals in this game. Henderson Force’s Noah Morency recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring three goals in this game.

Ventura Vikings vs. Lake Tahoe Lakers

The Ventura Vikings traveled to Lake Tahoe Ice Arena for their three-game series against the Lake Tahoe Lakers. Game 1 resulted in a 6-4 win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers and Lakers’ Scott McNulty recording his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. Game 2 resulted in a 16-6 triumphant victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers who also had two hat-tricks recorded by Scott McNulty and Brian Erte. Lake Tahoe Lakers carried their momentum into Game 3 which resulted in an 8-1 win for the Lakers as well as Patrick Lindbohm recording his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.

GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 29 out of 33 shots on goal. Zachary Follo was in net for the Ventrua Vikings and saved a total of 54 out of 58 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty scored the game winning goal and Tyler Gudjonson scored the short handed empty net insurance goal in the third period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (16-6) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Timon Franzen was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 15 out of 21 shots on goal. Brasco Cirillo was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 20 out of 27 shots on goal for all of the first period and half of the second period. Leo Yates took over for the Ventura Vikings for the second period and saved a total of 5 out of 10 shots on goal. Brasco Cirillo returned back in net for the remainder of the game and saved a total of 9 out of 13 shots on goal during the third period.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Jose-Jasmir Guseff scored the short handed game winning goal and Patrick Lindbohm scored the insurance goal during the second period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Brian Erte recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring 4 goals during this game. Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring 3 goals during this game.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (8-1) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Liam Freel was in net first for the Lake Tahoe Lakers and saved a total of 10 out of 11 shots on goal before Miles Gordon took over in the third period. Miles Gordon saved all 12 shots on goal that he faced. Joshua Arsenault was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 41 out of 48 shots on goal before Zachary Follo took over in the third period. Zachary Follo saved a total of 12 out of 13 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty scored the game winning goal and Tyler Gudjonson scored the insurance goal early in the second period.
HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Patrick Lindbohm recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.
Overall, Week 9 of the 2024-2025 regular season of the USPHL Pacific Division was full of high-scoring games, new winning streaks, and multiple hat-tricks recorded. There were 7 hat-tricks recorded this past weekend which included: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty (2 HT), Patrick Lindbohm (1 HT), and Brian Erte (1 HT); and Henderson Force’s Shane Dean (1 HT), Anthony Chateauvert (1 HT), and Noah Morency (2 HT). Looking into this weekend, we have a couple of highly anticipated matchups ahead of us.
