Nov. 26 - Dec 1, 2024 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with two three-game series for the Ontario Jr. Reign and the San Diego Sabers.
Ontario Jr. Reign Three-Game Sweep! (Three-Game Series)
Nov. 26-30, 2024
The Ontario Jr. Reign traveled to Iceoplex Simi Valley for Game 1 of their three-game series which was against the Ventura Vikings. Game 1 resulted in a dominant performance for the Ontario Jr. Reign as they won with a final score of 11-4. The team then traveled back home for Game 2 against the Long Beach Bombers which resulted in an astonishing 9-2 win for Ontario Jr. Reign. This series closed out with a 5-4 overtime win against the Ventura Vikings on home ice. The Ontario Jr. Reign are on a four-game winning streak after this past week’s games.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign (11-4) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Josh Henson was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 17 out of 21 shots on goal. Zachary Follo was initially in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 8 out of 13 shots on goal before Joshua Arsenault took over after the second period. Joshua Arsenault saved a total of 11 out of 16 shots on goal before Vikings’ Zachary Follo returned back in net in the third period to finish off the game with saving a total of 4 out of 5 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Christopher Lai scored the game winning goal and Darian Sinclair scored the insurance goal during the second period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign (9-2) at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Ryan Hicks was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 25 out of 27 shots on goal. Ethan Fitzgerald was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 37 out of 46 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig scored the game winning goal and Jesiah Bennett scored the insurance goal during the second period.
Game 3 | Saturday, November 30, 2024 | Ontario Jr. Reign 5, Ventura Vikings 4
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an overtime victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign (5-4) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Josh Henson was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 37 out of 41 shots on goal. Brasco Cirillo was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 46 out of 51 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig scored the power play, overtime, game winning goal.
Fresno Monsters Sweep the San Diego Sabers (Three-Game Series)

The San Diego Sabers traveled to Gateway Ice Center for a three-game series against the Fresno Monsters. Game 1 resulted in a 5-3 win for the Fresno Monsters and this momentum drove the team’s winning mentality for the rest of the series. The Fresno Monsters won Game 2 of the series with a final score of 8-5 and then closed out the series with a 5-2 win in Game 3. These wins this past week meant that the Fresno Monsters ultimately swept the San Diego Sabers in their three-game series against one another and are now on a six-game winning streak.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (5-3) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Brooks Barofsky was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 23 out of 26 shots on goal. Parker Lewis was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 36 out of 41 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Sebastian Westerlund scored the power play game winning goal and Simon Eriksson scored the insurance goal.
Game 2 | Saturday, November 30, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 8, San Diego Sabers 5
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Fresno Monsters (8-5) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Markus Wasastjerna was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 29 out of 34 shots on goal. Viktor Pasztor was initially in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 14 out of 20 shots on goal before Parker Lewis took over midway through the second period. Parker Lewis ended up saving 13 out of 15 shots on goal for the San Diego Sabers during the remainder of the game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson scored the game winning goal and Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen scored the insurance goal during the second period.
HAT-TRICKS: San Diego Sabers’ Liam Krupcyznski recorded his third hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season. Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.
Game 3 | Sunday, December 1, 2024 | Fresno Monsters 5, San Diego Sabers 2
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fresno Monsters (5-2) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Brooks Barofsky was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 21 out of 23 shots on goal. Viktor Pasztor started off in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 7 out of 10 shots on goal before Parker Lewis momentarily took over for roughly over five minutes of the second period. Parker Lewis saved all 6 shots on goal before Viktor Pasztor returned back in net and saved a total of 25 out of 27 shots on goal by the end of the game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson scored the game winning goal and Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen scored the insurance goal during the second period.
Overall, Week 12 of the 2024-2025 regular season of the USPHL Pacific Division was full of impressive, high scoring wins, winning streaks extended, and a couple hat-tricks. Some memorable moments from this week included: Ontario Jr. Reign’s overtime win against the Ventura Vikings in Game 3 of their three-game series, the Fresno Monsters’ and Ontario Jr. Reign’s three-game sweep, and a couple hat-tricks. The 3 hat-tricks recorded this past weekend included: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig (2 HT), San Diego Sabers’ Liam Krupcyznski (3 HT), and Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson (2 HT).
