Ontario Jr. Reign Sweeps Henderson Force
Feb 14-15, 2025
Henderson Force traveled to the Ontario Center Ice Arena where they faced the Ontario Jr. Reign in a two-game series this week. The Ontario Jr. Reign swept Henderson Force with a 5-0 shutout in Game 1 and closed out the series with a 5-2 win in Game 2. The Ontario Jr. Reign are now on a two-game winning streak!

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a 5-0 shutout victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Josh Henson and Ryan Hicks were able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after Heson saved all 12 shots on goal during the first period and Ryan Hicks saved all 13 shots on goal during the remainder of the game. Nicholas Perry was in net for Henderson Force and saved a total of 42 out of 47 shots on goal during this game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig scored the game winning goal early in the first period and Gavin Evans scored the insurance goal late in the second period.

GOALTENDING: Ryan Hicks able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 18 out of 21 shots on goal by the end of the game. Nicholas Perry was in net for Henderson Force and saved a total of 46 out of 51 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Denver Craig scored the game winning goal and Ethan Fraser scored the insurance goal during the first five minutes of the third period.
Fresno Monsters Sweep the Long Beach Bombers
Feb. 14-16, 2025
The Long Beach Bombers traveled to the Gateway Ice Center where they faced the Fresno Monsters in a two-game series this past week. The series started with an intense matchup in Game 1 which resulted in a 2-1 win for the Fresno Monsters. After a close game, the Fresno Monsters regrouped and took over Game 2 which resulted in a 6-1 win. The Fresno Monsters closed the series with an impressive 8-2 win. The Fresno Monsters are now on a five-game winning streak after their three-game series sweep!

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Long Beach Bombers (2-1) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Peter Burke was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 16 out of 17 shots on goal. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 42 out of 45 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Nils Tunbratt scored the game winning goal during the second period of the game.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Fresno Monsters (6-1) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Brooks Barofsky was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 26 out of 27 shots on goal by the end of the game. Ludovic Dagenais was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 58 out of 64 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Sebastian Westerlund scored the game winning goal early in the first period and Filipp Papshev scored the insurance goal late in the second period of the game.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Fresno Monsters (8-2) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Peter Burke was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 23 out of 25 shots on goal. Ethan Fitzgerald was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 43 out of 51 shots on goal by the end of the third period.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Nils Tunbratt scored the short handed game winning goal 22 seconds into the second period and Simon Eriksson scored the power play insurance goal of the game.
Lake Tahoe Lakers Sweep the San Diego Sabers
Feb. 14-16, 2025
The San Diego Sabers traveled to the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena where they faced the Lake Tahoe Lakers in a three-game series this past week. The Lake Tahoe Lakers kicked off the series with an impressive double digit win in Game 1 (10-4) and a 6-3 win in Game 2. The series was closed out with a 5-2 win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers. The Lake Tahoe Lakers solidified their 69 points and 33-10-2-1 season record after closing the regular season with a five-game winning streak!

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant double-digit regulation victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (10-4) at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 27 out of 31 shots on goal. Mikhail Saratovtsev and Parker Lewis were in net for the San Diego Sabers and collectively saved a total of 40 out of 50 shots on goal (10/14 Saratovtsev and 31/36 Lewis) by the end of this game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Magnus Lowham scored the game winning goal late in the first period and Scott McNulty scored the power play insurance goal during the second period.
HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty recorded his fourth hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season during this game.

GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 29 out of 32 shots on goal. Parker Lewis was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 39 out of 45 shots on goal by the end of the third period.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Tyler Gudjonson scored the game winning goal and Rory Gunn scored the insurance goal in the latter half of the third period.

GOALTENDING: Timon Franzen was able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 21 out of 23 shots on goal. Parker Lewis was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 46 out of 51 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Tyler Gudjonson scored the game winning goal late in the first period and Cameron Cote scored the insurance goal with 51 seconds left in the second period of the game.
Overall, Week 23 of the 2024-2025 USPHL Pacific Division was full of thrilling games with high stakes and triumphant outcomes. Some memorable moments from this week included the Ontario Jr. Reign’s 5-0 shutout against Henderson Force and the Lake Tahoe Lakers’ closing out the regular session with a five-game winning streak which included a double-digit (10-4) win during their three-game series against the San Diego Sabers! There was 1 hat-trick recorded this past weekend which was accomplished by Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty (4 HT). With the regular season coming to an end, many teams hope to finish strong while others continue to fight for home ice advantage which will make for many more highly anticipated games to come.

Henderson Force continues to hold onto the 4th spot in the Pacific Division standings
The only way that the San Diego Sabers can stay in the race is if they can get on a five-game winning streak (10 PTS) in order to tie Henderson Force’s 53 PTS. This scenario also depends on Henderson Force not being able to win their remaining games in the regular season (8 PTS).
The Bakersfield Roughnecks, Ventura Vikings, and Long Beach Bombers are out of the race.
