Dec 6-7, 2024 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with two-game series for the Henderson Force and Long Beach Bombers.
Henderson Force vs. Ventura Vikings (Two-Game Series)
Dec. 6-7, 2024
Henderson Force traveled to Iceoplex Simi Valley to face the Ventura Vikings in a two-game series this past week. The Ventura Vikings shutout the Henderson Force in Game 1 of the two-game series with a final score of 4-0. After getting shutout, Henderson Force regrouped and made a huge comeback in Game 2 of the series which resulted in a 5-2 win for Henderson Force. The teams split their two-game series against one another.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation shutout victory for the Ventura Vikings (4-0) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Brasco Cirillo was able to secure the win for the Ventura Vikings after saving all of Henderson Force’s 45 shots on goal. Jacob Brumm was in net for the Henderson Force and saved a total of 21 out of 25 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ventura Viking’s Jett McCullum scored the game winning goal and Cameron Cote scored the power play insurance goal.
Game 2 | Saturday, December 7, 2024 | Henderson Force 5, Ventura Vikings 2
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for Henderson Force (5-2) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Nicholas Perry was able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 18 out of 20 shots on goal. Brasco Cirillo was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 32 out of 37 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Cole West scored the game winning goal and John Sinagra scored the insurance goal during this game.
Long Beach Bombers’ Two-Game Series
Dec. 6-7, 2024
The Long Beach Bombers traveled to Ontario Center Ice Arena where they faced the Ontario Jr. Reign for Game 1 of their two-game series this past week. After Game 1 resulted in a 4-3 overtime win for Ontario Jr. Reign, the Long Beach Bombers traveled to Carlsbad Icetown for Game 2 of the series. The Long Beach Bombers closed out their two-game series with an unfortunate 5-4 loss. Although the Long Beach Bombers’ two-game series did not go in their favor, their hard work in the close games was commendable.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an overtime victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign (4-3) at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Ryan Hicks was able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 16 out of 19 shots on goal. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 37 out of 41 shots on goal by the end of the game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Christopher Lai scored the game winning goal 43 seconds into overtime.
Game 2 | Saturday, December 7, 2024 | San Diego Sabers 4, Long Beach Bombers 5
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the San Diego Sabers (5-4) at Carlsbad Icetown.
GOALTENDING: Viktor Pasztor was able to secure the win for the San Diego Sabers after saving 39 out of 43 shots on goal. Ludovic Dagenais was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 28 out of 33 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Knut Hornkvist scored the power play game winning goal during the third period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: San Diego Sabers’ Knut Hornkvist recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season.
Overall, Week 13 of the 2024-2025 regular season of the USPHL Pacific Division was full of thrilling games and commendable achievements. Some memorable moments from this week included: Ontario Jr. Reign extended their winning streak to a five-game winning streak, Ventura Viking’s first shoutout of the 2024-2025 regular season, and San Diego Sabers’ Knut Hornkvist recording his second hat-trick of the regular season.
