DAY 4 of the 2024 USPHL Las Vegas Showcase (Pacific Division) Game Recap

Day 4 of the 2024-2025 USPHL Las Vegas Showcase included multiple close games, an overtime win for the Bakersfield Roughnecks, and a 6-0 shutout for the Ventura Vikings. Read more about how it all went down below!


Friday, December 20, 2024

Game 3 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Henderson Force 3, Fort Wayne Spacemen 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for Henderson Force (3-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Jacob Brumm able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 32 out of 34 shots on goal. Jordan Nicolucci was in net for the Fort Wayne Spacemen and saved a total of 20 out of 23 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Anthony Chateauvert scored the game winning goal in the latter half of the third period. 


Game 3 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | San Diego Sabers 5, Rogue Valley Royals 1

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the San Diego Sabers (5-1) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: San Diego Sabers started the game with Viktor Pasztor in net and he saved 9 out of 10 shots on goal up until the last half of the third period. Ryan Doninger was given ice time and did not face any of the Rogue Valley Royals shots on goal. Collectively the Sabers goaltenders secured their win after facing a total of 10 shots on goal. Kaeden Edstrom was in net for the Rogue Valley Royals and saved a total of 48 out of 53 shots on goal by the end of the game.

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Knut Hornkvist scored the game winning goal during the second period and Liam Krupcyznski scored the insurance goal during the beginning of the third period. 


Game 3 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Ontario Jr. Reign 5, MJDP 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Ontario Jr. Reign (5-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Ryan Hicks able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving 20 out of 22 shots on goal. Evan Peacock was in net for the MJDP and saved a total of 29 out of 34 shots on goal by the end of this game. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Christian Yi scored the game winning goal during the first period of the game and Luke Cannon scored the insurance goal. 


Game 3 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Metro Jets 4, Fresno Monsters 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Metro Jets (4-2) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Austin Muirhead able to secure the win for the Metro Jets after saving 26 out of 28 shots on goal. Brooks Barofsky was in net for the Fresno Monsters and saved a total of 41 out of 45 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Metro Jets’ Alek John scored the game winning goal in the second period and Jack Noonan scored the insurance goal during the third period of the game. 


Game 4 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Bakersfield Roughnecks 3, Bellingham Blazers 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an overtime win for the Bakersfield Roughnecks (3-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: The Bakersfield Roughnecks split up their playing time between their goaltenders during this game which included Liam Luther in the first half of the game and Stanislav Teplitskyi during the remainder of the game. Luther saved 10 out of 11 shots on goal and Teplitskyi was able to secure the win for the Bakersfield Roughnecks after saving 14 out of 15 shots on goal. Emmett Dixon was in net for the Bellingham Blazers and saved a total of 32 out of 35 shots on goal by the end of this game. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Christopher Larochelle scored the game winning 3 minutes and 39 seconds into overtime. 


Game 4 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Ventura Vikings 6, Bremerton Sockeyes 0

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a 6-0 shutout for the Ventura Vikings at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Joshua Arsenault able to secure the win for the Ventura Vikings after saving all 23 shots on goal that he faced. Oakley Armstrong was in net for the Bremerton Sockeyes and saved a total of 26 out of 32 shots on goal by the end of this game. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Ventura Vikings’ Louis Allen scored the game winning goal and Kai Tsoar scored the insurance goal during the first period of the game. 


Game 4 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Seattle Totems 5, Lake Tahoe Lakers 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Seattle Totems (5-2) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Cole Fennema able to secure the win for the Seattle Totems after saving 34 out of 36 shots on goal. Perry Jacobs was in net for the Lake Tahoe Lakers and saved a total of 24 out of 29 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Seattle Totems’ Felix Palla scored the game winning goal during the second period of the game. This was later followed up by Aatu Suontakanen scoring the insurance goal for the Seattle Totems. 


Game 4 | Friday, December 20, 2024 | Fort Wayne Spacemen 5, Long Beach Bombers 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Fort Wayne Spacemen (5-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Herman Zippeldt able to secure the win for the Fort Wayne Spacemen after saving 25 out of 27 shots on goal. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 44 out of 49 shots on goal by the end of this game. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Fort Wayne Spacemen’s Antoine Bonin scored the game winning goal during the second period and Jackson Cothron scored the insurance goal of this game.

  • The Fresno Monsters will face MJDP on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 8:00 AM PST. This game will be located at America First Center Rink 2.

  • Ontario Jr. Reign will face Metro Jets on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 8:10 AM PST. This game will be located at America First Center Rink 1.

  • Henderson Force will face the Seattle Totems on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 12:00 PM PST. This game will be located at America First Center Rink 2.

  • The San Diego Sabers will face Iron County Yeti on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 1:40 PM PST. This game will be located at America First Center Rink 1.
