DAY 1 of the 2024-2025 USPHL Las Vegas Showcase (Pacific Division)

Day 1 of the USPHL Pacific Division Las Vegas Showcase was evenly split between high and lows. Highs included the Long Beach Bombers and the Lake Tahoe Lakers both winning with high-scoring games as well as a hat-trick recorded by both teams. Lows were experienced by the Ventura Vikings and Bakersfield Roughnecks as they were one-goal away from a win. Read more about how the games went down below!

Game 1 | Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | Bellingham Blazers 4, Ventura Vikings 3

  • FINAL SCORE: Despite both teams putting up a good fight, this game ended with a regulation win for the Bellingham Blazers (4-3) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Creedon Dyck able to secure the win for the Bellingham Blazers after saving 32 out of 35 shots on goal. Zachary Follo was in net for the Ventura Vikings and saved a total of 34 out of 38 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Bellingham Blazers’ Luc Desjardins scored the game winning goal during the second period of the game. 


Game 1 | Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | Bremerton Sockeyes 3, Bakersfield Roughnecks 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a shootout victory for the Bremerton Sockeyes (3-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Jaden Salado able to secure the win for the Bremerton Sockeyes after saving 40 out of 42 shots on goal. Stanislav Teplitskyi initially started out in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 4 out of 5 shots on goal before Max Sutton took over midway through the second period. Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Max Sutton saved a total of 16 out of 17 shots on goal by the end of this game.

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Bremerton Sockeyes’ Brendan Hamilton was able to slip past Bakersfield Roughnecks’ goaltender, Max Sutton, to secure the game winning overtime goal in round 8 of the shootout. 


Game 1 | Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | Long Beach Bombers 9, Rogue Valley Royals 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant regulation victory for the Long Beach Bombers (9-2) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Liam Gacek able to secure the win for the Long Beach Bombers after saving 23 out of 25 shots on goal. Kaeden Edstrom was in net for the Rogue Valley Royals and saved a total of 39 out of 48 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula scored the game winning goal and Samuel Ingram scored the insurance goal during the second period of the game. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula recorded his third hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season during the second period of this game. 


Game 1 | Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | Lake Tahoe Lakers 10, Isanti Outlaws 3

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an impressive regulation victory for the Lake Tahoe Lakers (10-3) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Timon Franzen able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving 15 out of 18 shots on goal. Joel Gerard was initially in net for the Isanti Outlaws and saved a total of 6 out of 10 shots on goal before Charles Healey took over during the latter half of the first period. Isanti Outlaws’ Charles Healey saved a total of 19 out of 25 shots on goal by the end of this game.

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty scored the game winning goal and Rory Gunn scored the insurance goal. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Rory Gunn recorded his second hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after this game.
