DAY 2 of the 2024 USPHL Las Vegas Showcase (Pacific Division)

Day 2 of the Las Vegas Showcase included three shutouts which were recorded by the Ventura Vikings (4-0), Henderson Force (5-0), and the Lake Tahoe Lakers (10-0). A couple regulation wins and commendable comebacks were also achieved for some teams while others struggled during their debut. Read all about it below!

Game 1 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Henderson Force 5, Columbus Mavericks 0

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a shutout victory for Henderson Force (5-0) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Nicholas Perry able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving all 26 shots on goal. Lukas Kamenicky was in net for the Columbus Mavericks and saved a total of 22 out of 27 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Reese Hicks scored the game winning goal and Logan Smolinski scored the insurance goal during the first period of this game.


Game 1 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Seattle Totems 10,  Fresno Monsters 6

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for the Seattle Totems (10-6) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Cole Fennema able to secure the win for the Seattle Totems after saving 33 out of 39 shots on goal. Markus Wasastjerna was in net for the Fresno Monsters and saved a total of 23 out of 32 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Seattle Totems’ Felix Palla scored the game winning goal and Xaver Palla scored the insurance goal during the third period of this game. 


Game 1 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Vernal Oilers 5, Ontario Jr. Reign 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Vernal Oilers (5-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Levente Hegedus able to secure the win for the Vernal Oilers after saving 25 out of 27 shots on goal. Josh Henson was in net for the Ontario Jr. Reign and saved a total of 27 out of 31 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Vernal Oilers’ Dominik Griessmer scored the game winning goal during the first period of this game. Marek Mraz scored the insurance goal during the second period. 


Game 1 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | San Diego Sabers 3, Isanti Outlaws 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the San Diego Sabers (3-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Parker Lewis able to secure the win for the San Diego Sabers after saving 33 out of 35 shots on goal. Charles Healey was in net for the Isanti Outlaws and saved a total of 48 out of 51 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: San Diego Sabers’ Aidan Cosgrove scored the game winning goal with 20 seconds left in the second period.


Game 2 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Ventura Vikings 4, Cincinnati Cyclones 0

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a 4-0 shutout victory for the Ventura Vikings at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Brasco Cirillo able to secure the win for the Ventura Vikings after saving all 19 shots on goal. Carson Balow was in net for the  Cincinnati Cyclones and saved a total of 29 out of 33 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Ventura Vikings’ Kai Tsoar scored the game winning goal and Jett McCullum scored the insurance goal during the first period.  


Game 2 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Long Beach Bombers 5, Bellingham Blazers 2

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Long Beach Bombers (5-2) at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Ethan Fitzgerald able to secure the win for the Long Beach Bombers after saving 33 out of 35 shots on goal. Emmett Dixon was in net for the Bellingham Blazers and saved a total of 25 out of 29 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Long Beach Bombers’ Christopher Porciuncula scored the game winning goal and the insurance goal during the third period. 


Game 2 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Lake Tahoe Lakers 10,  Iron County Yeti 0

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant 10-0 shutout for the Lake Tahoe Lakers at America First Center Rink 2. 

  • GOALTENDING: Perry Jacobs able to secure the win for the Lake Tahoe Lakers after saving all 19 shots on goal that he faced. Nicholas Ruiz was in net for Iron County Yeti and saved a total of 53 out of 63 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Scott McNulty scored the game winning goal and Carter Lehmann scored the insurance goal during the first period of this game. 

  • HAT-TRICKS: Lake Tahoe Lakers’ Chayce Tuton recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring three goals during this game. 


Game 2 | Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Bakersfield Roughnecks 7, Rogue Valley Royals 1

  • FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Bakersfield Roughnecks (7-1) at America First Center Rink 1. 

  • GOALTENDING: Jakob Barcelona able to secure the win for the Bakersfield R ughnecks after saving 15 out of 16 shots on goal. Kaeden Edstrom was in net for the Rogue Valley Royals and saved a total of 28 out of 35 shots on goal. 

  • GAME WINNING GOAL: Bakersfield Roughnecks’ Dawson Williams scored the game winning goal during the first period of this game. Nabhan Nader later scored the insurance goal during the second period.
