The Boston Fleet secured the second seed in the standings after they ended the regular season with 62 points and a season record of 16-5-4-5. Out of their 16 wins, the Boston Fleet secured seven shutouts, five overtime wins, and three shootout wins. The team’s points leader was #5 Megan Keller (7G, 15A) who had 22  points recorded by the end of the regular season. #77 Susanna Tapani (9G) led the team with the most goals scored and #11 Alina Müller (17A) led the team with the most assists recorded by the end of the regular season.

The Ottawa Charge secured the third seed in the standings after they ended the regular season with 44 points and a season record of 9-8-1-12. Out of their 9 wins, the Ottawa Charge secured eight overtime wins, two shutouts, one shootout victory. The team’s points and assists leader was #91 Brianne Jenner (12G, 14A) who had 26 points recorded by the end of the regular season. #73 Rebecca Leslie (14G) led the team with the most goals scored.

When these teams faced one another during the 2025-26 PWHL regular season, the Ottawa Charge won three out of the four games which included one overtime victory on April 22, 2026 and two shootout wins which occurred on December 27, 2025 and January 11, 2026. The Boston Fleet’s one regular season victory against the Ottawa Charge was a shootout win secured on February 28, 2026. During those four regular season games, the Ottawa Charge outscored the Boston Fleet (9G vs. 8G) despite being outshot by the Boston Fleet (116 SOG vs. 95 SOG). Against one another, both special teams had a similar success rate with the Boston Fleet having a slight advantage with their power play (7.69% vs. 7.14%) and penalty kill (92.9% vs. 92.3%).

Although the Ottawa Charge had the advantage over the Boston Fleet during the regular season, we can expect a gutsy series as both teams are determined to advance to the finals. It is certain that the Ottawa Charge will go into the matchups with the utmost confidence from their previous successes and momentum from their season-ending four-game winning streak. Another certainty is that the Boston Fleet will go into their upcoming matchups fueled with vengeance to redeem themselves from their regular season losses against the Ottawa Charge.
