Ottawa Charge
The Ottawa Charge were the fourth team to secure their spot in the 2026 PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs after 3-0 shutout victory against the Toronto Sceptres on April 25, 2026. Through sheer determination and winning when it mattered most, the Ottawa Charge ended the regular season with 44 points and a season record of 9-8-1-12. Out of their 9 wins, the Charge secured eight overtime wins, two shutouts, one shootout victory. The Charge had a rocky start to the regular season but finished strong with a four-game winning streak. When looking at the Charge’s successes during the regular season, the longest streak that they maintained was a six-game winning streak which started on December 21, 2025 and ended on January 13, 2026. The Ottawa Charge clinched the fourth seed in the standings after their gutsy performance during the 2025-26 PWHL regular season.

OTT won one out of four games against MTL during the regular season which included one overtime win (1-3). During the four games played, MTL outscored (9G vs. 5G) and outshot OTT (114 SOG vs. 109 SOG). OTT also struggled with their special teams as MTL ended with a higher power play (21.4% vs. 15.4%) and penalty kill success rate (84.6% vs. 78.6%).
Ottawa Charge (OTT) vs. Toronto Sceptres (TOR)
OTT won three out of five games played against TOR during the regular season which included two shutout victories and one overtime win (3-2). During the five games played, OTT outscored TOR (11G vs. 4G) despite being outshot by TOR (144 SOG vs. 115 SOG). In regards to special teams, OTT had the advantage over TOR as they ended with a higher power play (15.4% vs. 7.14%) and penalty kill success rate (92.9% vs. 84.6%).
Ottawa Charge (OTT) vs. Vancouver Goldeneyes (VAN)
OTT won three out of four games played against VAN which included one overtime win (3-1). During those four games, OTT outscored (13G vs. 7G) and outshot VAN (113 SOG vs. 109 SOG). In regards to special teams, OTT found more success on the power play (25.0% vs. 9.09%) and with their penalty kill (90.9% vs. 75.0%).

OTT won two out of the four regular season games played against MIN which included one overtime win (2-2). During those four matchups, MIN outscored (14G vs. 9G) and outshot OTT (126 SOG vs. 98 SOG). In regards to special teams, OTT had the advantage when it came to their powerplay (40.0% vs. 15.4%) and penalty kill success rates (84.6% vs. 60.0%).
Ottawa Charge (OTT) vs. New York Sirens (NY)
OTT won two out of four games played against NY during the regular season which included one overtime win (2-2). During those four games, NY outscored (14G vs. 11G) and outshot OTT (132 SOG vs. 96 SOG). OTT also struggled with their special teams as NY ended up with a higher power play (28.6% vs. 13.3%) and penalty kill success rate (86.7% vs. 71.3%).
Ottawa Charge (OTT) vs. Seattle Torrent (SEA)
OTT won three out of five games played against SEA during the regular season which included one shutout victory (3-2). During those five games, OTT outscored (17G vs. 11G) and outshot SEA (150 SOG vs. 145 SOG). In regards to special teams, SEA had the upper hand when it came to their power play (30.0% vs. 17.6%) and penalty kill success rates (82.4% vs. 70.0%).
Ottawa Charge (OTT) vs. Boston Fleet (BOS)
OTT won three out of four games played against BOS during the regular season which included two shootout wins and one overtime victory (3-1). During those four games, OTT outscored BOS (9G vs. 8G) despite being outshot by BOS (116 SOG vs. 95 SOG). Both special teams had a similar success rate with BOS having a slight advantage with their power play (7.69% vs. 7.14%) and penalty kill (92.9% vs. 92.3%).
The Ottawa Charge had an intense 2025-26 regular season and ultimately secured their spot in the playoffs because of their perseverance. This team does have some tough competition in the playoffs as they are scheduled to take on the Boston Fleet in the 2026 PWHL Playoffs. Although the Ottawa Charge had the advantage over the Boston Fleet during the regular season, we can expect a gutsy series as both teams are eager to advance to the finals.
