Minnesota Frost
The Minnesota Frost were the third team to secure their spot in the 2026 PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs after their 6-5 regulation win against the Vancouver Goldeneyes on April 4, 2026. Their overall tenacity on the ice during the regular season helped them to end the regular season with 46 points and a season record of 13-3-5-9. Out of their 13 wins, the Frost secured two shutouts and three overtime wins. After a tough loss in the 2025-26 regular season debut, the Frost embarked on a two-game winning streak which started on November 28, 2025 and ended on December 7, 2025. The Frost’s longest winning streak was their five-game winning streak which started on March 8, 2026 and ended on March 25, 2026. The Minnesota Frost clinched the third seed in the standings after their hard-fought performances during the 2025-26 PWHL regular season.

Minnesota Frost (MIN) vs. Ottawa Charge (OTT)
MIN won two out of the four regular season games played against OTT which included one shutout victory (2-2). During those four matchups, MIN outscored (14G vs. 9G) and outshot OTT (126 SOG vs. 98 SOG). In regards to special teams, OTT had the advantage when it came to their powerplay (40.0% vs. 15.4%) and penalty kill success rates (84.6% vs. 60.0%).
The Minnesota Frost had a hard-fought 2025-26 regular season which ultimately secured their spot in the playoffs. The Minnesota Frost do have some competition in the playoffs as they are scheduled to take on the Montréal Victoire in the 2026 PWHL Playoffs. Despite being swept in all four games played against Montréal Victoire during the regular season, we can expect a thrilling series between these teams as they battle to advance to the finals.
