Feb. 20-22, 2025 of the USPHL 2024-2025 Pacific Division kicked off with a game against Henderson Force and the Iron County Yeti as well as a couple two-game series and a three-game series. The Ventura Vikings and Fresno Monsters join the Lake Tahoe Lakers as their 2024-2025 regular season has come to an end with the following game series. Henderson Force Dominates Iron County Yeti
Feb. 22, 2025
Iron County Yeti traveled to America First Center Rink 1 where they faced Henderson Force this past week. After a dominant performance by Henderson Force, they won this game with a final score of 7-1 which has helped them hold onto that 4th spot in the Pacific Division standing!

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation victory for Henderson Force (7-1) at America First Center Rink 1.
GOALTENDING: Doron Coldwell was able to secure the win for Henderson Force after saving 22 out of 23 shots on goal. Mason Bouchard was in net for the Iron County Yeti and saved a total of 52 out of 59 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Henderson Force’s Anthony Chateauvert scored the power play game winning goal during the second period and Wyatt Baren scored the insurance goal during the third period of the game.
Sabers Swept in their Two-Game Series
Feb. 21-22, 2025
The San Diego Sabers faced the Ontario Jr. Reign in Game 1 of their two-game series this past week which took place on home ice at Carlsbad Icetown. The Ontario Jr. Reign shutout the Sabers (9-0) in Game 1 of the Sabers’ two-game series. The Sabers then traveled to Iceoplex Simi Valley where they faced the Ventura Vikings in Game 2 of the series. This series was closed out with a 6-3 win for the Ventura Vikings which extended their winning streak to five-games and helped them end the regular season with a 16-27-2-1 season record. After an unfortune set of losses, the Sabers look to be out of the race for the playoffs.

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a triumphant 9-0 shutout for the Ontario Jr. Reign at Carlsbad Icetown.
GOALTENDING: Domenik McInenly able to secure the win for the Ontario Jr. Reign after saving all 22 shots on goal that he faced during this game. Parker Lewis was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 38 out of 47 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Matteo Pero scored the short handed game winning goal and Denver Craig scored the power play insurance goal during the first period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Matteo Pero recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season during this game.
Game 2 | Saturday, February 22, 2025 | Ventura Vikings 6, San Diego Sabers 3
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Ventura Vikings (6-3) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Brasco Cirillo and Zachary Follo were able to secure the win for the Ventura Vikings after collectively saving a total of 41 out of 44 shots on goal (Cirillo 20/22 SOG, Follo 21/23 SOG). Parker Lewis was in net for the San Diego Sabers and saved a total of 28 out of 34 shots on goal by the end of the game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ventura Vikings’ Ryan Gill scored the game winning goal during the latter half of the second period and also scored the insurance goal during the beginning of the third period.
HAT-TRICKS: Ventura Viking’s Ryan Gill recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring three goals during this game.
Long Beach Bombers Swept in their Two-Game Series
Feb. 21-22, 2025
The Long Beach Bombers faced the Ventura Vikings at Iceoplex Simi Valley for Game 1 of their two-game series this past week. This series started with a 2-1 win for Ventura Vikings after a close matchup in Game 1. The Long Beach Bombers then traveled to the Ontario Center Ice Arena where they faced the Ontario Jr. Reign in Game 2 of the series. This series was closed out with a double-digit victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign who won Game 2 of this series with a final score of 10-4. The Ventura Vikings are on a five-game winning streak and the Ontario Jr. Reign are on a four-game winning streak after their successful week!

FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a regulation win for the Ventura Vikings (2-1) at Iceoplex Simi Valley.
GOALTENDING: Ethan Sellwood able to secure the win for the Ventura Vikings after saving 37 out of 38 shots on goal. Ethan Fitzgerald was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 17 out of 19 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ventura Vikings’ Calvin Ruggiero scored the game winning goal two minutes into the third period of the game.
Game 2 | Saturday, February 22, 2025 | Ontario Jr. Reign 10, Long Beach Bombers 4
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with a double-digit regulation victory for the Ontario Jr. Reign (10-4) at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
GOALTENDING: Domenik McInenly was initially in net for the Ontario Jr. Reign and saved 16 out of 19 shots on goal before Ryan Hicks took over early in the second period. Ryan Hicks was able to secure the Jr. Reign’s win after saving 14 out of 15 shots on goal by the end of the third period. Stepan Vedernikov was in net for the Long Beach Bombers and saved a total of 55 out of 65 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Carter Demelo scored the game winning goal and Christopher Lai scored the insurance goal during the second period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Ontario Jr. Reign’s Jesiah Bennett recorded his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 regular season after scoring three goals during this game.
Fresno Monsters Sweep the Bakersfield Roughnecks
Feb. 20-22, 2025
The Bakersfield Roughnecks traveled to Gateway Ice Center where they faced the Fresno Monsters in a three-game series this past week. The series was kicked off with an astonishing 13-0 shutout win for the Fresno Monsters. The Fresno Monsters carried the momentum from Game 1 into their 6-3 victory in Game 2 of the series. The series was closed out with an impressive 13-3 victory and three hat-tricks secured by the Fresno Monsters. The Fresno Monsters’ eight-game winning streak has helped them end the regular season with a 37-9-0-0 season record and clinched the Pacific Division with 74 points.

GOALTENDING: Brooks Barofsky able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving all 8 shots on goal that he faced during this game. Stanislav Teplitskyi was initially in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 30 out of 40 shots on goal before Jakob Barcelona took over during the third period. Jakob Barcelona saved 12 out of 15 shots on goal by the end of the game.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Nils Tunbratt scored the power play game winning goal and Filipp Papshev scored the insurance goal during the first period.

GOALTENDING: Peter Burke able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 26 out of 29 shots on goal by the end of the game. Jakob Barcelona was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 53 out of 59 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Alex McIsaac scored the game winning goal and Niko Ylisirnio scored the insurance goal during the second period of the game.
Game 3 | Saturday, February 22, 2025 | Fresno Monsters 13, Bakersfield Roughnecks 3
FINAL SCORE: This game ended with an astonishing double-digit regulation victory for the Fresno Monsters (13-3) at Gateway Ice Center.
GOALTENDING: Brooks Barofsky was able to secure the win for the Fresno Monsters after saving 24 out of 27 shots on goal by the end of the game. Max Sutton was in net for the Bakersfield Roughnecks and saved a total of 58 out of 71 shots on goal.
GAME WINNING GOAL: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson scored the game winning goal and Jesse Nuutinen scored the insurance goal during the first period of the game.
HAT-TRICKS: Fresno Monsters’ Simon Eriksson recorded his fourth hat-trick of the 2024-225 regular season after scoring three goals during the first period of the game. Fresno Monsters’ Nils Tunbratt recorded his second hat-trick of the regular season after scoring three goals during the second period of the game. Fresno Monsters’ Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen was able to record his third hat-trick of the regular season after scoring three goals during this game.
Overall, Week 24 of the 2024-2025 USPHL Pacific Division was full of thrilling matchups with some impressive outcomes. Some memorable moments from this week included: Fresno Monsters’ 13-0 shutout and 13-4 victory against the Bakersfield Roughnecks; Ontario Jr. Reign’s double-digit 10-4 win against the Long Beach Bombers, and a few high-scoring wins by other teams in the division. There were 7 hat-tricks recorded this past weekend which included: Ventura Viking’s Ryan Gill (1 HT); Ontario Jr. Reign’s Matteo Pero (1 HT) and Jesiah Bennett (1 HT); as well as Fresno Monsters’ Tyson Baumbach (1 HT), Nils Tunbratt (2 HT), Jonathan Heidenberg Andersen (3 HT), and Simon Eriksson (4 HT). The regular season has come to an end for the Ventura Vikings and Fresno Monsters who ended their seasons strong.
