The 2025-26 USPHL regular season for the Pacific Division continued to deliver another set of thrilling wins and tough losses. Read about the exciting wins and fun highlights from the games during the week of February 20-22, 2026!
Ontario Jr. Reign Two-Game Series
The Ontario Jr. Reign faced the San Diego Sabers at the Ontario Center Ice Arena for the last time during the regular season on Saturday, February 21, 2026. After their Game 1 matchup, the Ontario Jr. Reign faced the Long Beach Bombers on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Ontario Center Ice Arena for the fifth time during the 2025-26 regular season. Read about how the Ontario Jr. Reign extended their winning streak after they remained on top against the San Diego Sabers and Long Beach Bombers.
The Jr. Reign dominated the Sabers during their last matchup against one another which resulted in a 5-0 shutout with 44 shots on goal recorded. The first period ended 2-0 with two unanswered goals scored by #15 Walker Chitwood (1G) and #3 Tyler Yeo (1G). They then put up two additional goals in the second period which were scored by #15 Chitwood (1G) and #22 Samuel Delaquis (1PPG). Despite making a commendable last push, the Sabers remained scoreless as the Jr. Reign closed out the game, 5-0, with a goal scored by #19 Aiden Yi (1G). In regards to goaltending, #29 Nicholas Perry secured his second shutout of the regular season after he saved all 27 shots on goal by the end of this game. With an impressive win secured in Game 1 of this series, the Ontario Jr. Reign found themselves with a nine-game winning streak while the San Diego Sabers continued onto a four-game losing streak.
The Jr. Reign’s momentum continued into Game 2 of their series which resulted in a 4-1 win against the Bombers. #71 Zack Zhang opened up this matchup and made it a 1-0 game in the Jr. Reign’s favor when he scored the first goal of this game a minute and forty-six seconds into the period. Shortly after the opening goal was scored, #15 Chitwood extended the Jr. Reign’s lead, 2-0, with a goal that remained unanswered throughout the remainder of the first period. The goal-scoring momentum remained strong during the second period which ended, 4-0, in the Jr. Reign’s favor as #22 Delaquis (1G) and #71 Zhang (1G) both scored a goal which remained unanswered going into the last period of regulation. The Bombers escaped being shutout when #88 Troy Smith took advantage of the man-advantage and successfully scored a power play goal midway through the third period. Despite making a great effort to cut their deficits, the Bombers continued to struggle to generate any additional goals past #29 Nicholas Perry who secured the Jr. Reign’s win after he saved 33 out of 34 shots on goal. This loss does not take away from the commendable goaltending performance by Bombers’ #98 Sebastian Kica who saved 51 out of 54 shots on goal by the end of this game. The Ontario Jr. Reign are now on a ten-game winning streak while the Long Beach Bombers start a one-game losing streak going into their last matchups of the 2025-26 regular season.
Fresno Monsters vs. Henderson Force Three-Game Series
The Fresno Monsters traveled to America First Center where they faced Henderson Force for the last time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a three-game series which started on Friday, February 20, 2026 and ended after their matchup on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The Monsters kicked off Game 1 with a one-goal lead when #71 Nils Tunbratt scored the opening goal of this game (1-0). The Force did not back down and were able to tie the game, 1-1, with a goal scored by #3 Karl Lindberg. The rest of the first period remained scoreless which made it a tied standstill going into the second period of regulation. This standstill broke when the Monsters extended their lead, 4-1, with three unanswered goals scored by #55 Josef Nystrom (1G), #15 Adrian Gomez (1G), and #7 Tyson Baumbach (1G) during the second period. The Force made a commendable effort to cut their deficits during the third period with a goal scored by #78 Jan Teterja twenty-seven seconds into the period. Unfortunately for the Force, their last push fell short as the Monsters were able to hold onto their lead and end the game with a final score of 4-2. In regards to goaltending, #31 Noah Hammarstrom secured the Monsters’ win after he saved 43 out of 45 shots on goal while Force’s #35 Ralfs Kalnins saved 52 out of 56 shots on goal by the end of this game. When looking at winning/losing streaks after this matchup, the Fresno Monsters found themselves with a two-game winning streak while Henderson Force started their one-game losing streak.
The Monsters continued to dominate the Force and ended the first period of Game 2 with a two-goal lead which was comprised of an opening power play goal scored by #55 Nystrom and a goal scored by #21 Brian Erte (2-0). The Force did not back down and got onto the board with a goal scored by #78 Teterja two minutes and twelve seconds into the second period (2-1). The Monsters remained unfazed and were able to extend their lead, 4-1, with two additional goals scored by #22 Keanu Mcclanahan (1G) and #13 Jonathan Andersen (1G). Down by three, the Force were able to cut their deficit to two-goals when #75 Nicholas Correnti opened up the third period and momentarily made it a 4-2 game. Despite making a commendable last push, the Monsters secured a 6-2 win with back-to-back goals scored by #25 Filipp Papshev (2G). In regards to goaltending, Monsters’ #31 Noah Hammarstrom secured another win for his team after he saved 46 out of 48 shots on goal while #35 Ralfs Kalnins saved 29 out of 35 shots on goal. With another win recorded, the Fresno Monsters found themselves with a three-game winning streak while Henderson Force continued onto a two-game losing streak.
The Force entered Game 3 with vengeance and opened the first period with a goal score by #73 Sixten Wramhed (1-0). This one-goal lead was negated when Monsters’ #13 Andersen tied the game during the latter half of the first period (1-1). The Force regrouped and secured a 4-1 lead by the end of the second period with three unanswered goals scored by #73 Wramhed (2G) and #10 Christopher Brude (1). The Force’s goal-scoring momentum continued into the third period which extended their lead, 5-1, with a goal scored by #76 Noah Morency. Down by four-goals, the Monsters went all in during their last push which resulted in back-to-back power play goals secured by #15 Gomez (1PPG) and #26 Antti Rajala (1PPG) which made it a two-goal game (5-3). The Force also had an impressive push during the final minute of regulation which resulted in a 6-3 win when #73 Wramhed scored the last goal of the game with two seconds remaining in regulation. This hard-fought win by the Force would not have been possible without the gutsy goaltending performance by #33 Stephan Vedernikov who saved 38 out of 41 shots on goal while Monsters’ #31 Noah Hammarstrom saved 39 out of 45 shots on goal. An accomplishment to highlight from this game is #73 Sixten Wramhed’s first hat-trick of the regular season being recorded after he scored four goals by the end of this game. Henderson Force are now on a one-game winning streak after ending the Fresno Monsters’ three-game winning streak during their final matchup of the 2025-26 regular season.
Lake Tahoe Lakers vs. Ventura Vikings Three-Game Series
The Lake Tahoe Lakers traveled to Iceoplex Simi Valley where they faced the Ventura Vikings for the last time during the 2025-26 regular season. These teams played in a three-game series which started on Friday, February 20, 2026 and ended after their matchup on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The Vikings dominated Game 1 of this three-game series which ended with an astonishing 6-0 shutout. Vikings’ #14 Dominick Ybarra scored an unanswered opening goal during the beginning half of the first period which gave the Vikings a one-goal lead going into the second period (1-0). The Vikings goal-scoring momentum helped them to end the second period, 3-0, with goals secured by #22 Oscar Thurn (2-0) and #14 Ybarra (3-0) during the latter half of the period. Although the Lakers made a commendable push to get on the board during the third period, their struggles continued as the Vikings maintained puck possession and ended the game, 6-0, with three additional goals secured during the last period of regulation. The three Vikings closed which closed out this game were scored by #38 Riley Richards (2G) and #6 Ethan Yang (1PPG). In regards to goaltending, Vikings’ #28 Alexander Wendt secured his second shutout of the regular season after he saved all 32 shots on goal while Lakers’ #1 Kohen Pirrone saved 25 out of 31 shots on goal. When looking at winning/losing streaks, the Ventura Vikings found themselves with a one-game winning streak and the Lake Tahoe Lakers continued onto a five-game losing streak.
The Vikings’ momentum continued into Game 2 of this series which helped them to secure a 2-1 lead by the end of the first period. The goals scored during the first period consisted of a Lakers goal scored by #24 Lewis Beddow (1G) and two Vikings goals scored by #44 Artashes Arutunyan (1G) and #22 Thurn (1G). It did not take too long for the Vikings to extend their lead as #2 Josh Halliday made it a 3-1 game with a goal scored a minute and twenty-nine seconds into the second period. The Lakers made a commendable push during the third period which resulted in cutting their deficit down to one-goal when #34 Mavric Boses secured the Lakers’ second point of the game midway through the period (3-2). Despite their efforts, the Lakers’ last push was not enough to overcome the Vikings who ended the game with a final score of 6-2. The three Vikings goals which closed out the third period were scored by #19 Lino Viau (1G), #6 Yang (1G), and #67 Ethan Thomas (1G). This win was made possible after #31 Aiden Biswanger saved 28 out of 30 shots on goal for the Vikings while Lakers’ #31 Liam Freel saved 29 out of 35 shots on goal. With another win recorded in this series, the Ventura Vikings found themselves with a two-game winning streak and the Lake Tahoe Lakers continued onto a six-game losing streak.
The first period of Game 3 ended with a tied standstill, 1-1, when Lakers’ #27 Kasper Parkkonen (1PPG) answered back to Vikings’ #72 Aidan Pi-Keesee’s opening goal (1G). This led to the Vikings regrouping during the second period and gaining a 3-1 lead with two unanswered goals scored by #38 Richards (1G) and #14 Ybarra (1PPG). The Lakers were able to cut their deficit and make it a one-goal game when #29 Owen Feary scored in the beginning half of the third period (3-2). The Vikings did not back down and ended this game, 4-2, with a goal scored by #14 Ybarra late in the third period. In regards to goaltending, #28 Alexander Wendt secured another win for the Vikings after he saved 30 out of 32 shots on goal while Lakers’ #33 Ryder Selbee saved 35 out of 39 shots on goal. The Ventura Vikings are now on a three-game winning streak after sweeping the Lake Tahoe Lakers, 3-0, in this series. On the other hand, the Lake Tahoe Lakers are now on a seven-game losing streak going into their last matchups of the regular season.
Long Beach Bombers Three-Game Series
The Long Beach Bombers started their three-game series with two matchups against the Iron County Yeti on February 20-21, 2026 at Lakewood Ice. They then traveled to the Ontario Center Ice Arena where they faced the Ontario Jr. Reign on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The Bombers secured a 3-2 overtime win against the Yeti in Game 1 of this series. Despite both teams having great chances to break the tied standstill after 60 minutes of regulation, the game remained tied, 2-2, which forced the teams into their first overtime against one another. After a hard-fought battle, the Bombers came up on top when they broke the standstill with a game-winning goal scored during sudden death hockey. The three Bombers goals secured during this game were scored by #14 Jackson Litzinger (1G), #55 Roman Adomitis (1G), and #88 Troy Smith (1G). In regards to goaltending, Bombers’ #72 Ethan Fitzgerald secured his first overtime win of the regular season after he saved 37 out of 39 shots on goal while Yeti’s #35 Franciszek Zrebiec saved 52 out of 55 shots on goal by the end of this game. After an intense battle, the Long Beach Bombers found themselves with a one-game winning streak while the Iron County Yeti continued onto a two-game losing streak.
The Bombers continued their momentum from their hard-fought win and secured a 7-0 shutout with 64 shots on goal recorded by the end of Game 2 in this series. #17 Jeremy Loosmore opened up this matchup with a goal scored late in the first period which gave the Bombers 1-0 lead. The second period ended with a 3-0 lead for the Bombers with two goals scored by #17 Loosmore (1G) and #20 Tevin Stokes (1G). Despite making a commendable last push, the Yeti’s struggles continued during the last period of regulation as the Bombers closed out this game with four goals scored by the following players: #19 Rohan Bhangoo (1PPG), #14 Litzinger (1G), #21 Daniel Fridyand (1PPG), and #88 Smith (1PPG). This shutout would not have been possible without the remarkable goaltending performance by #33 Alexis Dumont who recorded his first shutout of the regular season after he saved all 18 shots on goal. With another win secured, the Long Beach Bombers found themselves with a two-game winning streak and the Iron County Yeti moved on to a three-game losing streak.
The Bombers’s winning streak came to an end when they faced the Jr. Reign during Game 3 of this series. This matchup was mainly dominated by the Jr. Reign who maintained a 4-0 lead with two goals scored by #71 Zack Zhang (1G) and #15 Chitwood (1G) during the first period and two additional goals scored by #22 Delaquis (1G) and #71 Zhang (1G) during the second period. Despite their multiple struggles throughout majority of this game, the Bombers were able to escape being shutout when #88 Smith scored a power play goal midway through the third period. Unfortunately for the Bombers, they were unable to generate any additional goals against the Jr. Reign who secured a 4-1 win by the end of this game. In regards to goaltending, Jr. Reign’s #29 Nicholas Perry secured the Jr. Reign’s win after he saved 33 out of 34 shots on goal while Bombers’ #98 Sebastian Kica who saved 51 out of 54 shots on goal. The Ontario Jr. Reign are now on a ten-game winning streak while the Long Beach Bombers start a one-game losing streak going into their last matchups of the 2025-26 regular season.
Overall, Week 21 of the 2025-26 USPHL Pacific Division was full of thrilling outcomes and high-scoring wins. Some memorable moments from this past week included multiple winning/losing streaks being extended, a Ventura Vikings’ 6-0 shutout, and a Long Beach Bombers’ 7-0 shutout. There was 1 hat-trick recorded during week 21 of the regular season which was secured by Henderson Force’s #73 Sixten Wramhed.
