The Dallas Stars won Game 4 in the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Winnipeg Jets on May 13, 2025. This matchup took place at the American Airlines Center and ended with a final score of 3-1 in the Stars' favor. Read about what led to the Stars’ win, the standout players of each team, stats, and when their next game is scheduled!

Game Recap

Stars fans at American Airlines Center grew with excitement when #64 Mikael Granlund scored an early  power play goal thirty-two seconds into their man-advantage (1-0). After a series of hits and great scoring chances by both teams, the solid goaltending performance by Stars’ #29 Jake Oettinger and Jets’ #37 Connor Hellebuyck helped to keep the game 1-0 going into the second period.

Two seconds after killing off the Jets’ power play opportunity which rolled into the start of the second period, the Jets tied the game with a goal scored by #27 Nikolaj Ehlers (1-1). After the Jets' game-tying goal, both teams ended up having chances on the power play but struggled to capitalize on their man-advantages. It wasn’t until there was three minutes left in the period when the Stars regained their one-goal lead after #64 Granlund scored his second goal of the game (2-1). Jets’ #37 Hellebuyck did his best to stay on top of his game after letting #64 Granlund’s snap shot slip past him and kept it a one-goal game with one period left in regulation.

After an unfortunate double minor high-sticking penalty called on Jets’ #24 Haydn Fleury, the Stars extended their lead, 3-1, with a power play goal scored by #64 Granlund with three seconds left on their man-advantage. Although the Jets did have a couple power play opportunities towards the latter half of the period, their final push in the game was not enough to offset the Stars’ goaltender and their 3-1 lead. This Game 4 win helped the Stars to secure their 3-1 series lead which was made possible by #64 Mikael Granlund’s first hat-trick of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
