The Sabers will take on the Bakersfield Roughnecks at Carlsbad Icetown this Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM PST and Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM PST. The Sabers have had the upper hand in the previous matchup against the Roughnecks and hope to keep that momentum going into this two-game series.

In their game series this past weekend, the Sabers resulted in a win against the Ontario Jr. Reign and Henderson Force. The Bakersfield Roughnecks lost their three-game series against the Vernal Oilers this past weekend. After a tough weekend for the Roughnecks and a very successful week for the San Diego Sabers, both teams are hungry to win this weekend.

The San Diego Sabers are currently in 3rd place with 24 points in the Pacific standings and have a season record of 12-6-0-0. Their leading scorers are Liam Krupcyznski who currently has 36 points and Knut Hornkvist who has 34 points this season.

The Bakersfield Roughnecks are currently in 6th place with 17 points in the Pacific standings and have a season record of 8-13-1-0. Their leading scorers are Adrian Gomez who currently has 28 points and Arsiyan Van de Brande who currently has 28 points this season.

Going into this matchup, the San Diego Sabers have a 37.5% power play success rate which is higher compared to the Bakersfield Roughnecks’ 22.92% power play success rate. The Bakersfield Roughnecks have an 76.92% penalty killing percentage which is higher than the Sabers’ 69.7% penalty killing percentage success rate.

The Sabers go into this week’s matchups on a high after extending their winning streak to a five-game winning streak. The team is very determined to keep this streak going and to continue to have the upper hand against the Bakersfield Roughnecks.
