Long Beach Bombers’ 2024-2025 USPHL Pacific Division Regular Season Recap

Although the Long Beach Bombers have missed the 2024-2025 USPHL Playoffs, this does not dismiss their performance during the 2024-2025 USPHL Regular Season. The team is in eight place of the USPHL Pacific Division standings with 22 points and a season record of 10-34-2-0. Out of their 10 wins, they were able to secure two overtime victories. The longest winning-streak that the Long Beach Bombers maintained was a three-game winning streak during the Las Vegas Showcase.
PP & PK Success Rate and Top Scorers
The Long Beach Bombers ended the regular season with a 17.35% power play success rate and a decent 71.86% penalty killing success rate. Their top scorer was #28 Christopher Porciuncula who ended the regular season with 41 points (17 G, 24 A) recorded in the regular season.

Goaltending
In regards to goaltending, four out six of their goaltenders have been active during the season. The stats include: Liam Gacek’s 2 wins out of 3 games played and a 0.917 SV%; Stepan Vedernikov’s 1 win out of 19 games and a 0.878 SV%; Ludovic Dagenais’ 4 wins in 16 games and 0.890 SV%; and Ethan Fitzgerald’s 13 wins out of 14 games and a 0.853 SV%.
Against the rest of the Pacific Division:
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. San Diego Sabers (SDS)
LBB won one out of six games against SDS during the regular season (1-5). When facing SDS, the LBB were outshot (143 SOG vs. 170 SOG), outscored (26 G vs. 17 G), and struggled on their power play attempts (12.5% PP vs. 40 % PP).
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Henderson Force (HNF)
HNF won all five games against LBB during the regular season (5-0). LBB were swept by HNF after they were outscored (6 G vs. 26 G), struggled to maintain puck possession (183 SOG vs. 299 SOG), and were dominated during their power play attempts as HNF found more success with their power play success rate (0% PP vs. 33.3% PP).
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs Bakersfield Roughnecks (BKR)
LBB won two out of six games against BKR during the regular season (2-4). LBB were outshot (181 SOG vs. 285 SOG), outscored (17 G vs. 30 G), and struggled on their power play attempts (20% PP vs. 30.6% PP) when they faced BKR.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Fresno Monsters (FRM)
FRM won all six games against LBB by the end of the regular season (6-0). LBB were swept by FRM as they were unable to maintain consistent puck possession (118 SOG vs. 265 SOG), were outscored (6 G vs. 35 G) and struggled to capitalize on their power play opportunities (10.5% PP vs. 32.3% PP) when they played against FRM during the regular season.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Ventura Vikings (VNV)
LBB won two out of six games against VNV during the regular season (2-4). Previous games between VNV and LBB have been fairly close in regards to total goals scored (27 G for VNV and 22 G for LBB). However, LBB has outshot VNV (211 SOG vs. 159 SOG) and had more successful power play outcomes (38.5% PP vs. 18.8% PP). Overall, it came down to who took advantage of their scoring opportunities and on the man advantage which ended up being VNV for most of their games against one another.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Ontario Jr. Reign (OJR)
LBB won one out of six games against OJR during the regular season. LBB were outshot (181 SOG vs. 320 SOG), outscored (18 G vs. 35 G), and struggled to capitalize on their power play opportunities (17.2% PP vs. 29.4% PP) when they played against OJR.
Long Beach Bombers (LBB) vs. Lake Tahoe Lakers (LTL)
LBB were swept by LTL during the regular season (5-0). LBB were outshot (121 SOG vs. 234 SOG), outscored (10 G vs. 39 G), and struggled to capitalize on their power play attempts (17.4% PP vs. 34.8% PP) when they played against LTL.
Although the Long Beach Bombers did not make it to the 2025 Premier Playoffs, this does not take away from their efforts during the regular season. Despite all of their struggles during the regular season, the team did have a couple memorable moments which they should be proud of. With the result from this regular season, they will certainly come back next season with vengeance and determination to place higher in the standings and possibly get a chance at the playoffs!
