The San Diego Sabers will kick off the regular season with a matchup against the Ventura Vikings at Iceoplex Simi Valley this Friday, September 19, 2025 at 7:30 PM PST. After their Game 1 matchup against the Vikings, the Sabers will travel back home to Ice Realm Carlsbad and play their first home opener of the regular season against the Long Beach Bombers on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 8:00 PM PST. During the 2024-25 regular season, the Sabers outscored (33G vs. 22G), outshot (227 SOG vs. 194 SOG) and had a higher power play success rate (25 PP% vs. 12.5 PP%) when they played against the Vikings. Similar to their performance against the Vikings, the Sabers dominated the Long Beach Bombers during the 2024-25 regular season by outscoring (26G vs. 17G), outshooting (170 SOG vs. 143 SOG) and having a higher power play success rate (50 PP% vs. 12.5 PP%). Both the Ventura Vikings and Long Beach Bombers do go into the 2025-26 regular season with a blank slate and have an opportunity to change the tides during this new season while the Sabers have a chance to continue strong.

The Lake Tahoe Lakers will start their 2025-26 regular season on the road with a three-game away series against the Rogue Valley Royals at the RRRink during the week of 9/19 - 9/21. During the 2024-25 regular season, the Lakers outscored the Royals (54G vs. 7G) despite being outshot (334 SOG vs. 111 SOG). Despite previous challenges, the Rogue Valley Royals do have an opportunity to start off the 2025-26 regular season strong with a clean slate this season while the Lake Tahoe Lakers are expected to have another strong start.
